The Classifiers called in this week and we had a great day. The highlight was Clydevale Doc Integrity now EX92! She has had a big week after winning Supreme Champion in the Victorian Holstein Australia/Semex On Farm Challenge. There were 1255 cows entered from 150 farms, another great event for our breed.

Thanks to all involved with this prestigious competition. It was great to receive the Champion Cow trophy from Jim Conroy today. Thanks also to Cameron Yarnold for judging. Integrity has just classified EX92 on her 3rd lactation and peaked at 72 litres. The Irene family has given us many great cows over the past 35 years. We are fortunate to have a split embryo full sister to Integrity. She is Clydevale Doc Inga EX90 (3rd lact) and we are offering Inga for sale in the Clydevale Holsteins Golden Anniversary Sale - Celebrating 50 Years, May 21st next year!

Integrity won the 4yo and was crowned Champion Cow at the state final of the OFC today! We're stoked and very proud of her. Thanks to Holstein Australia and Semex Australia for running a great competition that means alot to so many Australian Holstein breeders. Thanks also to Cameron Yarnold for doing a great job judging the event, a huge commitment and job well done.

It's always good to introduce new heifers to the barn. This exciting new heifer is Clydevale Lambda Sunstar, a direct daughter of Hullabaloo Bolton Sundae EX95 4E. Sunstar looks just like her dam did at the same age 11 years ago.
The first progeny of Sundae to ever sell will be on offer in May. Clydevale Holsteins Golden Anniversary Sale - Celebrating 50 Years. Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 to be held on farm at Macorna North.

🍒𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙍𝙔 𝙊𝙉 𝙏𝙊𝙋 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙎𝙐𝙉𝘿𝘼𝙀🍒

We are thrilled to have a third nomination for the Holstein Australia Cow of the Year, with Hullabaloo Bolton Sundae 7282-ET EX95-4E!

Starting as a pregnant rising two-year old when we purchased her from Murray Varcoe; seeing her grow into one the highest classified cows in the country as well as being an outstanding producer, (topping 13,000 litres), has been a very special journey for us.

Some of her personal achievements include Champion Cow and Supreme Best Udder at the 2017 NHD Victorian Winter and Champion Cow at both the Echuca and Cohuna Show.

In 2019 she was the winner of the 6 Years & Over In-Milk section of the Semex Holstein Australia All Australian Photographic Competition.

She has transferred her exceptional type onto her progeny, including Clydevale Solomon Sunset EX91-2E, who is joined by 4 VG and 3 GP classified siblings.

Two sons, Clydevale Solomon Stark VG87 and Clydevale Fever Sundance, have sired 79 progeny in the Clydevale herd – which includes 3 Excellent and 26 VG daughters.

Her grand daughters include Clydevale Piston Sunsmart VG89 and Clydevale Piston Sunburst EX91-1E.

Sundae in currently in the milking barn milking at thirteen-year-old, which is a testament to her high type and longevity.

We truly admire her strength, will to milk, fantastic mammary system and great temperament.

She is one of the best cows we have had at Clydevale and we are excited about the prospects her progeny bring to us.

Her third nomination for the prestigious Holstein Australia Cow of the Year is definitely the 'cherry on top' for a cow that will continue to have an impact on the Clydevale herd, for many generations to come.

Spring Harvest 2024 is under wraps! It's been a dry spring but the pasture and vetch crops have responded well to irrigation, resulting in a bumper harvest! We now have over 2,500 tonnes of silage under cover. Now it's time to finish the hay and plant the maize!

Thank you to all of the bidders and those that purchased our cattle yesterday! The sale was a big success and we thank DLS for running the sale. Our cows went to 6 different herds throughout Victoria, NSW and Queensland. We have more heifers available for sale through DLS for those that are still looking to add some more bloodlines to their herd.
A big thankyou also to Amanda Glossop for researching and promoting our animals with individual lot promotion and the videos. Great work Amanda! Much appreciated, cheers from all at Clydevale.
