To all dog owners I just want to do two thing re this post. 1) Pass on a message I received as follows: "I can't thank Wendy enough for the excellent care she's provided for Audrey's teeth! Two years ago I was quoted over $1,000 for a dental cleaning at the vet, and they couldn't guarantee Audrey wouldn't lose any teeth, which was very concerning given her age. Last year, during Audrey's annual check-up, I was told her teeth would need cleaning soon so we saw Wendy. We decided to see her again this year, even before Audrey's annual check. I was so pleased when the vet said that both her teeth and gums looked great which was a huge relief! Just like we get annual cleanings at the dentist, Audrey will now continue to see Wendy regularly for her dental care. I'm also planning to bring my younger furbaby to Wendy for regualar care in the future. Regards Candis Duffy
2) I would like to point out to owners that you cannot ignore your dog's teeth - rot will set in under the gums, extractions will be needed and simply cleaning will not suffice. I understand there are dogs that the vets are reluctant to put under, therefore any clean would be beneficial whether you do it, I do it or your brother does it. But I want to strongly point out that cleaning should START EARLY like the first picture. The second picture shows teeth have been left too long before attention is given and damaged has already been done. Owners that have started early either cleaning their dog's teeth themself or get me to do or your brother do it have dogs with good teeth right into old age. It's worth it.
