⭐ A little notice about discounts ⭐

I know many people are used to asking for pensioner or senior discounts — and in some industries, they’re built into the pricing structure. Larger companies or certain services will often set their prices a little higher overall, or charge more on weekends, so they can afford to offer a “discount” at other times.

But for sole traders and small, owner-operated businesses, it works very differently. When you ask us for a discount, you’re not shaving something off a big company’s profit margin — you’re literally asking us to take that amount directly out of our personal income.

Unlike traditional employees, small business owners don’t have an employer paying superannuation, holiday pay, or long-service leave. And for many of us, there’s no government pension waiting at retirement age either. Every dollar we earn is what keeps our household afloat and what helps us plan for the future.

Of course, some businesses do choose to offer senior discounts, and that’s a lovely gesture when it’s sustainable for them. But for many of us, especially sole traders, it isn’t possible — and it can feel really deflating when we’re put on the spot.

So please know: if a small business doesn’t offer a discount, it’s not because we don’t value you — it’s because we literally can’t afford to discount our pricing for any reason.
Supporting a small business at full price is what helps us survive, grow, and keep showing up for our communities. 💛

I'm aware there is currently a huge demand for grooming services in the area due to the multiple recent grooming business closing down in the last few months.

I'm taking expressions of interest for those who have been unable to book a grooming service; I may open up an extra Sunday this month to alleviate some of the demand. This will be for haircut grooming services in Halls Head and Erskine areas only.

The mobile area I cover is generally no more than a kilometre from both the beach and the estuary, so you will often see my grooms are shorter in length tailored to an active, salty lifestyle for maintenance.

My passion is longer, styled grooms so please feel welcome to enquire about grooming styles you prefer - I am happy to teach at home maintenance, grooming advice and dietary care. I will no doubt fall in love with your pooch so you know I have your dogs best interests at heart.
