Lots of newbies today!

Ares, Samson and Lola all had their first training walks today with our newest trainer Lauren! I’m excited to see these guys progress with her, and look forward to doing their one one one consults myself with their owners in a couple of weeks 🐶♥️

I questioned posting this on here, but it once again needs to be said because dog owners clearly aren’t getting the message.

To the man at Calypso beach car park this morning that wanted to have a go at me because I told him to not let his off lead dog (in an on lead area) run up to my clients dog that was on lead, you’re a massive part of what’s making people with reactive or non-social dogs too scared to leave the house with their dogs.

You had the nerve to turn around to me and say “Whatever, it’s called socialising!”

THAT IS NOT SAFE SOCIALISING!

You have absolutely no clue what the other dog on leash is like, or regardless if they’re friendly or not, your dog is not entitled to walk up to any dog they see and get in their space.

If you would like your dog to socialise then ask. If they say yes then great! If they say no, then they don’t need to give you a reason why, just take your dog and move on.

Meet big, beautiful Doopa 😍

Doopa and his owner had a private session today to touch up on his basic obedience and set him up ready to progress his leash manners and get his recall reliable.

We also discussed and worked on getting a more fulfilling game of tug’o’war!

Doopa will also be starting weekly training walks next week to help keep his training on track 🐶♥️
