We currently have our home bred c**t Grassbrook Merric, and stored semen from Wadi Farm Kokoda, and Mt Murray Shah Jehan. We have a range in type of Waler mares, from pony type (scouts) through to mediums(trooper & officers mounts) We love breeding the Australian historical breed & certainly enjoy our horses.

Good wet morning to new little master Tikka- Traveller delivered a c**t AGAIN (because she KNOWS I want a filly) a bay, no facial whites (YAY) and it looks like nearside white fetlocks.
This is our FIRST Grassbrook foal dropping by Waler Heart Prince.

Little Rhett- the oldest of the '22 drop, and by far, the smallest. The Naryilco pony traits showing up when mixed with Merric's Jinka genes... photo taken BEFORE brushing and untangling!!
She's been having some handling and haltering reminders, but is likely to remain with me for future breeding purposes, but in the meantime, she will be broken in to saddle at some.stage, in the hope she makes a good kids mount (there are lots of grand babies to give rides to into the future years!)

First ride for me, since diagnosis!!!
Had to pull out a small helmet, because hair definatley adds a lot to my head size, and headed off to see how Milani is progressing with the breakers; and I must say, she feels lovely. She'll be coming home on Saturday, and staying in light work for the rest of the winter and into the summer, until Niles, Dusty, and Serpahic are well rideable too..

Araluen, fat, in foal to Prince, due January and regrowing hair that she lost last season- her and Traveller seemed to be affected by critters, despite worming and treating- a first for both of them to have any type of itching.
I'm always concerned about caterpillars here, as we tend to get them and it makes life very difficult.

Sunlight!!! Took over 2 hours to brush out Merric's forelock, mane, tail, and feathers!! The yard he's been in has an over-abundance of bathurst burrs and he's managed to collect every single one🙄. He sooked at first but then settled in to sleeping and now he looks loved.. even tho he really is a very round barrell atm😬

So, Nobby the Nobleman headed north yesterday, and this a.m, arrived at his new home in QLD... this is his arrival video- unfortunately cut short to actually make it to us via messenger, but so very glad for his new home, and for the joy and appreciation shown on arrival.
