Handfeed most animals in our interactive zoo, or even arrange to sleep overnight in your tent. Only day we are closed is Christmas Day.

Lion feeding is a great time to be at the Zoo (1.30pm weekends, public and school holidays). Most of our animals can be fed by hand or spade including deer, kangaroos, emu, camels and much more! Our animals can be fed by visitors at any time of day that we are open, and we give you a day pass so you can come and go as you like. You can also camp in the Zoo grounds with the animals - bookings neede

d for camping. Entry is $20 for adults and $12 for kids. Animal food for monkeys, deer, kangaroo etc is $2.50 per small bucket. We give you a day pass, with main animal feeding starting at the lions at 1.30 on holidays and weekends. New Years Eve feeding is 7pm with Zoo open until 10pm. Hope you have a chance to visit our wonderful animals.

Did you know our African lion Robbie is 22 years old? He is the oldest lion in Australia.

Easter Holiday Fun
We are open every day from 10am to 6pm, with the Zookeeper Lion Feeding at 1.30 each day of the holidays. Meerkats are fed by the keepers after Lion feeding.
Handfeed many of our animals all day!

One of the fun activities of being a zookeeper- you get to make interesting activities for the animals and then get to see them play with your creations.

We are open every day, with Lion Feeding at 1.30pm on Australia Day, through to Sunday. Meerkats are fed by keepers after the four lions.
No Pre-booking needed- purchase entry at the door.

Celebrate New Years Eve with our wonderful friendly animals! Lion feeding is at 7pm New Years Eve and the zoo is open until 10pm.

Bring a BBQ or picnic and take advantage of being in the Zøo in the cool twilight.

Mansfield Zøo will reopen at 10am on Boxing Day, 26th December after closing for Christmas Day only.

Enjoy our little Bison calf, Pocahontas. She is only a few days old and is in a milk coma after filling up with mothers milk. A few more minutes and she’ll have the zoomies, running in circles around her mum, Yuma.

Pocahontas will stay that lovely orange for about three months, and then turn chocolate brown like a little mini bison.

We are open each day of the weekend, with lion feeding at 1.30pm Saturday to Tuesday. Meerkat feeding after the lions!

It is muddy with all the rain, so wear durable footwear, or borrow our gym boots.
Take care on the regional roads - lots of potholes and still water in a few places. Travel safely.

Zoo keepers feed the lions at 1.30 every day of the Victorian School Holidays and weekends.

Bring your boots - it’s muddy in parts with the huge rains we have had !

The good news is Lake Eildon is at 98.53%. Awesome news for the booties!
