I would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 2 years ❤️

It's been a very challenging but also very rewarding experience running Fantasy Tails!

With the communities support we have loved every day but unfortunately from a select few bad eggs in Mareeba who caused the crime issues last year as well as a few other incidents, we need to take a break for our mental health.

Once again thank you Mareeba for this valuable experience 💕

Due to reasons beyond our control, we're going to be closing down Fantasy Tails. This has been a very difficult and sad decision and we thank everyone who has supported us from day one!

We will be having a closing down sale with everything MASSIVELY DISCOUNED *excluding reptiles. We will also be selling all our tanks which we can negotiate for the right price.

We don't have a final closing date as of yet but we will keep you all posted! Our trading hours will continue as normal:
Wednesday to Friday: 10am till 3pm
Saturday: 10am till 1pm

Once again, thank you everyone for supporting us and showing that the true local spirit still lives on!

Our opening hours have changed

We're rehoming a 2 year old Siberian Husky (Sona) for one of the business owners.
She's super friendly, obedient (trainer well) and loves to play with other dogs (very well socialised).

With her breed, she doesn't get on well with small animals however she gets along with cats quite well.

She's priced at $700 with dna test results on request.

Have you had the chance to meet these puppies yet because they're all ready to go to their forever homes. All vet work is done including desexing, microchipping, fea, tick and worming!

The Maremma sheepdog is a great working dog for a farm or super protective for your family. They have so much love to give and are very protective of poultry.

Partial sale will be donated to Animal Rescue Tablelands Inc to help their ongoing efforts.

We're very excited to announce we've progressed to the final stage of the Telstra Business Awards for 2023. The category we've progressed in is building communities 🤯

We now have to create a pitch that will be used to judge our eligibility for state and national winner. We're asking our community if you'd be interested in being apart of a short video stating what impact you think we've had on the community. If you're interested please keep it between 5 to 15 seconds and send it through to us by september 20 🙂

Please note, if we progress, this video will be advertised throughout Australia so would be an amazing showcase for our town!

We have decided to move our shop out to the Mareeba new industrial estate. Fantasy Tails over September may have some temporarily closures while we transition to the new location. We will communicate these closures on facebook with some notice.

This decision was made after we had some kids last week threaten the safety of the animals. We need to put the animals safety first, the new location will also be able to host a more exciting experience for everyone and have plenty of room for the animals to live 😊

The new locations address will be announced in the coming weeks to avoid confusion.

We understand some people may not have transport out to this location so we will be pushing free delivery to Mareeba very heavily and encourage anyone who need deliveries to message our page directly or order through our website.

This isn't just happening to us but to all businesses in mareeba! Most don't want to be open about.

It's very upsetting for us to even be considering this but crime is out of control. We've attempted to lobby resolutions to all levels of government however no one want to take any responsibility.

Please have a read Cynthia Lui MP - Member for Cook, Mareeba Shire Council Shannon Fentiman MP & Bob Katter. We need to all work together and come up with a solution before it's too late.

Due to multiple criminal incidents over the last 2 weeks, Fantasy Tails will be closed from Thursday until Monday next week. We will be taking orders online through our website and delivering.

To put it frankly, we are so stressed out getting less than 3 hours sleep a night expecting our place to be hit again and again. We're getting many people from the community trying to lecture us on our security systems in place yet the police stated we have one of the most complex system in town.

We need time out to assess if we should even continue our business within Mareeba or if we should relocate to a safer town where we won't get multiple break ins in a week period.

Mareeba is our home town so whatever decision we make isn't a light one 😞

Thank you Lenore Wyatt - Mareeba Shire Councillor for coming in this afternoon with the Mareeba Shire Council CEO. We had a very constructive chat and hope we can work together in the future 😀
