Who can we help?

As much as we at FIP Cats Australia would love to save every cat or kitten from FIP, we do have some limitations.

We are an Australian based charity & have some limitations on how and who we can help.

Due to our ACNC charity status (for those internationally, this is our government regulation for not for profits) we cannot conduct business outside of Australia. Therefore we cannot donate, or do much else for our international followers other than provide information. We cannot promote GoFundMe or donation pages for any cases unless they are based in Australia, we can direct you to other groups where you could share your promotional page.

Due to our current size and the fact we are volunteer run, we cannot take on the responsibilities that comes with being able to conduct business outside of Australia. It is not in the foreseeable future, maybe one day if we get to the size of Amnesty or those alike, we could, but that is highly unlikely.

We will endeavour to support those internationally with information or provide you with contacts of other people we may have spoken to in your country to assist you on your journey as they know the legalities for your location, but at this stage that is all we can do.

We felt its important for us to publicly announce this as we have had a lot of international cases contact us and we do not want them to feel we dont want to help, it's just we can only legally do so much.

Today The Lady Morgan of Ragspy & Puresphynx Wesley Gru welcomed Lord Oro Lusaka of Noodibah into the world via ceserean. There was only one, thus the C section.
Another gorgeous Noodibah kid, first born to Morgy (my odd eyed girl) & Gru.
He weighed 123 grams a rather large boy.
Solid black.
We are hoping for odd eye or if really lucky blue eyes.

PLEASE, PLEASE any sphynx owners regardless of their colour, if you see a lump appear even if it looks like a pimple, please ask your vet to remove it ASAP. Don't just think it will go away.

Sadly Matilda had one removed in April which was a soft tissue sarcoma & has just had another, looked like a pimple, within a few weeks it was quite a size. It was also removed & Path showed it to be a hemangiosarcoma which is a malignant tumor, very aggressive & spreads very early as it arises from cells that create blood vessels. I will most likely get a CT scan to see if it has spread but the prognosis is poor because it is a cancer of the blood vessels. Love your babies as we know that tomorrow is never a given for them or for us.

Hi all,
If FIP is suspected please, please, go to our FB page or website. I do not say this lightly as Feline infectious Peritonitis is not an illness with which to mess or delay the treatments available that we can now use. These treatments are affordable for most. We have a great team to help you throughout your FIP journey, with mentors that are there for you & your fur or Furless child.
Visit our page read the information, familiarise yourself with the symptoms & be aware that some vets are still recommending euthanasia, which once was the only option- this is now NOT so. One sad case I read coming to mind where an owner euthanised only to find out within 48 hrs of doing so that there are now effective antiviral treatment yielding excellent results!
Come on board as a member & help us Fight the Fight.

I put these in my kitten packs & those of you who have one of my babies know how Fussy I am with my babies.
We are a volunteer organisation, assisting owners to help their kitties claim back their lives.
Make no mistake this is an evil, brutal disease that without treatment, is 100% fatal 100% of the time.
The sooner treatment is commenced, the better the chances of surviving this & going on to lead a normal happy, life for both your feline & your family.
