HOT WEATHER WARNING
The weather is warming up and it's important all pet owners are on alert for their pet's well being.
*Over 28 degrees you should be on HIGH alert. Heat stress is an emergency and can be fatal.
*Avoid exercising your pet in the heat (consider early morning or late evening/night time if the temperature allows)
*Ensure pets have constant access to cool, fresh water and shade or bring them into air conditioning if possible.
*Check your pets frequently
*NEVER leave pets unattended in hot cars.
Signs of heat stroke to watch out for:
*Hypersalivation
*Difficulty breathing
*Bright red gums
*Collapse
