We’ve all been there…
😩Maybe you feel like you haven’t trained enough today, or maybe everyday.😩Maybe you feel like you should’ve done more earlier, when your dog was younger.😩Maybe you feel like your dog isn’t reaching their potential.
I’m not here to tell you not to feel guilty.I’m here to show you what to do when you do feel it.
✨ No. 1 – Ask yourself if this guilt is pointing out something real, or if it’s just you being hard on yourself. Either way, it’s ok! But we need to know.
✨ No. 2 – Hire a trainer who doesn’t make you feel like crap. We all have to start somewhere and if your trainer is making you feel bad about not starting earlier, or doing something ‘wrong’. Get rid of them. We all make mistakes, the fact you’re trying to do things differently now is what’s important.
✨ No. 3 – Find a program that’s actually sustainable for your life. If you know you’re never going to regularly attend the 9am Sunday morning dog training classes, don’t sign up for them. There’s plenty of ways to learn how to train a dog, find a way that you is sustainable for you and your lifestyle.
✨ No. 4 – Go and do one 5-minute session with your dog right now. Give yourself (and your dog) a pat on the back. You’ve started and there’s no stopping you now!
And remember — my inbox is always open if you’d like to chat about which of my programs might be the right fit for you and your dog. 🐾
