Happy Friday everyone!
We have decided to shut the kennels (First time ever) over November 14th till 25th November while we under go big spring cleans and have a minute before our crazy peak season Dec-Jan comes!

We miss out on all family gatherings and social events to insure your furry friends have the best ever care and get spoilt.

We hope you will understand that we need to prepare more for this peak season as we have expanded and completely full compared to the last 5 years. Kind reminder all Dec-Jan bookings are to be paid In full by 1st Dec. Everyone's $100 non-refundable deposit should be paid by now, we now have 54 clients on our wait list so please let me know asap if you wish to cancel.

Currently only 6x cattery 🐈 cages available!
Not a single kennel or spot available for a pooch! 🐕

🐕 Fun facts about A1 Kennels and Cattery,
Did you know before we became the new owners (June 2023) the business started back in 1979 as the very first greyhound training and boarding facility!
🐈 We then added the cattery in 1982!

It's amazing how much the place has changed and expanded in 43 short and amazing years!

We pride ourselves in providing big spacious beautiful kennel runs and cattery cages!

We have some of the largest kennels in Darwin which do take alot of up keep but its worth it to see happy wagging tails :)

Upgrades and new builds. In the last year we have built 5x new big kennels, fresh new turf, cleared alot of the property, new fences, sprinklers, gates, concrete and our new big shed :)
Slowly but surely we are chipping away at our jobs and projects here at A1, thank you all for supporting us! ❤️ 🐕 🐈

⏰️ Sadly due to this month alone we had over 13 clients pick up pass 5pm when we closed.

We have decided now to block out the gate code after 4:59pm.

❤️ Unfortunately to many clients seem to think we run 24/7 or don't respect our operating hours.

I am paying staff over time almost weekly due to this and running at a huge loss. Or missing my own 2 hours a day with my children 😞

You wouldn't try go into Coles 20 minutes after it's closed? Or a flight? Or a shopping centre?
But sadly this is happening to us weekly 😓

Please respect our operating times and understand that we do LOVE animals but we also have families and children to go feed, pick up or take to after school activities.

We always ask the day before what time you will be picking up or dropping off your furr baby and log your time into our booking system so we can make sure your kennel run is spotless and ready or have your pets ready at the door for collection fed, run and happy.

If you are now later then 5pm and gates are locked you will be charge an extra day fee.

Please be respectful of our times 😀

OPEN for drop off and pick up from 9am-11am or 3:30pm-5pm Monday to Saturday. CLOSED on Sundays for pick ups and drop offs.

🐕 🐈 A question we get asked alot here at A1 is if your pooch will be locked up in our back sleeping area like other kennels do and let them out on the grass every 1-2 hours and the answer is HELL NO 😀

We have these back sleeping areas with the doors (photo 1) for if we needed to separate your pooches at feeding times, that is the only time they will ever be locked away, they have concrete flooring and a concrete brick back area so they are very cool and 110% shade 🌳

They are free to run, play and swim in there big spacious beautiful kennel runs!

🎅 FULLY BOOKED FOR POOCHES FOR CHRISTMAS!

We book out very very fast over christmas, sadly there is no more kennels available for Christmas bookings for big or small pooches!

We do however have 11 more cattery pens left!

Kind reminder for anyone who is booked in for christmas that there dog MUST be friendly with other pooches as they WILL have a buddy with them, also anyone who hasn't paid there $100 non-refundable deposit to save there spot will be emailed this week for payment, this $100 comes off your total balance, I have started a wait list also incase we get any 'no shows' or 'cancellations' :) 🐕 🐈 😻
