For the first 12 days Baggins was home, he loved a light brush with only the softest of brushes you could find.
Well today, he backed up to the mane comb for a very hard enjoyable bum scratch ❤️❤️
Well…….. when Steph is on carer duties for Baggins, with a whole bale of lovely meadow hay to himself but decides he “must find” the best parts of the hay (or some hidden gems)
He’s a clown 😆
A perfect morning for the beach.
Both first time and absolutely loved it 🥰
This amazing SB first ride out in the forest with a super special Brumby as his confidence pony.
Windy, bikes, prams and other horses and took it all in his stride, and all in a halter ❤️
Kevin’s post surgery rehab has progressed to the treadmill.
Still a long road ahead but he’s doing great.
Even a great view for exercise.
Well there is no better way to test if your training programs are working.
We have road works going on today and the very timid lady that turned up is not phased by anything now.
Very proud of her progress.
Miss Opal decided that dust suppression is far more fun when you play in the sprinkler 🤣
Flashback to the Brumby Challenge 2018
A bit of a flashback to Equitana 2018 Brumby Challenge.
VBA Brolga (Sid) on day 11 having his first halter session.
Take your time, what ever time is needed. Don’t rush just because you want a faster outcome. Your horse will tell you how long they need.
Do it right the first time the you will have a quiet and trusting partner.
When you have the cutest little cherub in for starting. ❤️
Tommy gets his pre ride focus work. He is still very juvenile mentally and some days , needs a bit of time to switch on to me.
Miss Fergie loves her pre ride scratches 😆
Shelby working in the arena on a day with SUN!!!!
This is a lovely TB youngster having some float load training.
He’s still very juvenile with his chewing, but quite normal for his age. The boys are generally worse than the girls at this 😆.
This was the second session, of which the first was pretty much the same.
I have been handling this guy since he was with his mum and as you can see, this has built a trust between us.
The stick is an extension of your arm to be next to them and move the hindquarters at the same time.
They all learn to move their bodies, walk forward and back comfortably before float loading is even started.
Miss Fergie going fabulously in her rehab. This long and low is all trained without gadgets (as with all horses I have come through).
She’s looking and feeling great.
Thank you to everyone who has helped with her journey and those following her ❤️
At the gate you can see my stable foreman watching closely 😆
If you would like to assist, your donations are greatly appreciated.
