On Saturday, the team at Dynasty Performance and Agistment headed off to Manning Valley Dressage and Hacking Club for their T-shirt day. We left a day early to camp the night to make for a less stressful morning. With 7 horses between us and 14 tests all very close in times we had a pretty crazy day, not to mention it rained ALL day so we were wet to the core (why do we do this again?!).
Ona, the youngest of the team, and her mare Ruby are new to the dressage world with only 2 starts under their belt, pulled off two beautiful tests in the high 60s coming home with 2x 1st places in the junior prelim classes. We are so proud of her, taking on advice and working hard which shows with her scores improving every comp.
Mia brought a new addition along, Sassy, who is a very sensitive gypsy cob mare who hasn’t be broken in long at all for her first ever outing. Sassy handled it all like an absolute pro (a real credit to Mia and the beautiful job and hard work she’s doing with her). Mia ride two stunning, accurate tests pulling off a 1st and 2nd place with massive scores of 70%+ 👏🏽.
Our lovely Leonie and William are getting more and more confident with every outing, we are so proud of her and how far she has come in her riding and how she’s handling the comp environments (which can be so daunting, even for the experienced riders on tricky horses).
Leonie and Will also pulled off two amazing tests bringing home a 3rd and a 4th place even scoring a huge 71% 😱
Michelle has been working really hard towards elementary with her horse Effie and had her first competition start at this level, Effie made Michelle work really hard but she did a wonderful job and pulled off two very respectable tests.
A really good and exciting start with lots to work on for next time.
Grayce from GP Equine Performance and Training was very brave bringing a brand new warmblood mare along in season (dragon) for her first outing and also her lovely stockhorse gelding. Cally thought it was all abit much and was very tense but Grayce handled her beautifully and did a great job in the arena still managing to pull off a very respectable 63.158 and 67% for a 3rd place in her tests. She got some very lovely comments from the judges which makes it very encouraging and worth it to work hard with these tricky type horses.
Grayces lovely Dusty boy was next up, he was slightly distracted with his girlfriend calling him all day, so didn’t put on our best performance but still managed a really decent score with a 70% test and also a 3rd place.
Last but not least our very own Baleigh and Mystic Shadows Dynasty, the man behind the name. This pair were the absolute star of the show, an absolute stand out in the warmup and the arena with some really lovely comments. Baleighs tests couldn’t get much better, she rode beautifully and it showed with 2 massive scores of 71.667% and 71.406, even in their first ever novice start. Of course winning both their tests 🏆🥇 What a combination 👏🏽
We cannot put into words how proud of all our girls we are, becoming quite the little competition team! Thanks girls for the most amazing weekend.
Now to put our feet up for a little bit and hang all our ribbons on the wall until the next one 🥳
We’d also like to thank MVDHC for all their hard work putting on such a lovely little competition, such a well run day and friendly calm atmosphere. We really love coming out here 🤍
