👴🏻 This elderly gentleman came in last week for a check up and some blood tests as he has recently been feeling his grand old age of 17 years!

🏠 He was so relaxed and comfortable, he made himself right at home!

🦜 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘!

🌳 This little baby Lorikeet was abandoned by its parents after the tree with its home inside ​ was cut down.
​
👐🏼 He is safe and well in the expert hands of a WINC carer and will be released once he is old enough to look after himself.

🌭 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐚 is a beautiful little Dachsund with an eye ulcer.
​
🟢 We use a special stain to highlight the ulcerated areas which looks a little bit green in the top photo.
​
🩺 Dr Adam also checks the intraocular pressure using a special tool called a Tonometer.
​
Eye ulcers are generally caused by trauma such as;
👁 abrasions
👁 cat scratches
👁 chemical burns (e.g. shampoos)
👁 bacterial and viral infections
👁 foreign bodies like grass seeds
👁 irritation from eyelid abnormalities

🐇 This gorgeous little fluff ball came in to the clinic to be spayed last week.

🧦 We put little socks on the bunnies to help them maintain their body temperature while under anaesthetic with the added bonus of it being absolutely adorable!
