Buddy the Big Boofy ginger Boi is 100% love!!! ❤️❤️

Don’t let his age fool you! This totally gorgeous, super-duper affectionate dude does not act like a typical 14-year-old cat – with how spritely he is, he could be easily mistaken for 4 years old.

He’s such an angel and adores the company of the shelter staff and volunteers. This poor boy has had to live rough on the streets for many years before being brought to AAPS and is so grateful to finally be indoors being spoilt how he deserves. He is the king of head-butts and will bump his adorable ginger head into your legs to ask for lots and lots of pats!

He contacted FIV during his time as a stray, but he does get along quite well with other kitties so he would likely be happy to live in a home with other FIV+ cats! He is on a special renal diet, and for this reason he is eligible for our AAPS assist program which provides generous discounts to his new owners at our veterinary clinic and reduced-price prescription food for management of his renal issues for 12 months post adoption.

He deserves only the very best after having to spend so long without a loving family, a full tummy and a cosy and safe place to sleep – so we can’t wait to find him the home of his dreams who will let him live out his retirement years in true luxury!

🖤🖤 Mav the pint-sized poodle is the cutest little curly-coated dude looking for a poodle-savvy home 🖤🖤

He is very typical of his breed and adores human attention. He is happiest when he is sitting on his favourite person’s lap having a cuddle.

He can be a little timid around new people and he does NOT like going to the vet as he does struggle with a little bit of anxiety when someone comes on too strong – so he is looking for a patient and understanding home who will respect his boundaries and go slow with him when he needs it.

For this reason, he would be best suited to an adult only home (or home with older teenage children), and he would also prefer a home where he was the only pet as he has not had a lot of positive socialisation with other dogs or pets in his previous home.

He would love a family who had plenty of quality time to spend with him, as he can get distressed when he is left alone for long periods. His lovely coat will need to be groomed regularly. He has plenty of puppy energy to burn, so would love a family that could take him for walks every day and give him lots of toys to play with!

🥬🥕🥔🍠 Introducing the veggie patch kittens 🥒🍆🌽🍐🥦

AKA, Zucchini (white and black boy) Taro (tabby and white girl) Pea (white and tabby patched girl) Carrot (white and black girl) Beansprout (tabby and white boy) and Alfalfa (white and black girl).

These adorable little munchkins have had a rough start, coming into AAPS with a case of a flu and upset tummies – with some antibiotics, good food and tlc, however, they are feeling better than ever and are almost ready for forever homes of their very own.

They are typical SUPER playful, kooky kittens with tonnes of energy to burn! They love human attention and would each love a family who has plenty of time to devote to playing with them daily, and who will offer up their laps or a spot next to them on the couch or bed when it’s time for a snooze.

They would love to be rehomed in pairs or into homes that had an existing young, friendly cat for them to play with. They are young enough to be introduced to cat-friendly dogs and could live with respectful kids.

Because these kitties were a feeling under the weather when they came into our care, some of them may be given a course of antibiotics/medication to finish in their forever home. They are otherwise happy, healthy kittens who are looking for families that will love and care for them for the next 15-20+ years.

📢 WATCH OUT FOR BIRCH SUGAR!

Birch sugar is perhaps better known but it’s more common name: xylitol!

Packaging ingredient lists have changed that now the well-known pet toxin xylitol to being listed as birch sugar.

These ingredients are commonly found as sweeteners in sugar free lollies. Whilst you shouldn’t be feeding lollies to your pet anyway - if they happen to get into your stash of Halloween candies this year - check the ingredients! 🎃

Many people use peanut butter as part of their dogs daily foraging enrichment - avoid sugar free formulations as these can be a culprit source of xylitol/birch sugar. 🥜

Xylitol, or birch sugar, can be deadly to cats & dogs - causing dangerously low blood sugar levels, and even liver failure. 🤕

Spread the news to your friends with fur families - check the label for xylitol and it’s new name… birch sugar!

Introducing lil’ miss Grumpy Face (aka, the beautiful Diva 🤩 )

Ok, she may LOOK mad, but we promise that this adorably squishy-faced little lady is as sweet as can be! When she first came into our care at AAPS she was very frightened, however after spending some time in a wonderful and loving foster home, Diva is a totally new cat!

Just like any dignified lady, Diva demands that you earn her respect – but it doesn’t take long before she warms up to new people. All she requires is that her boundaries are respected (and we think that’s fair enough!)

Diva most likely spent some of her life as a street cat, as she tested positive for FIV – however she does really like the company of other kitties, so she would be very happy to go to a home that has an existing FIV+ kitty friend for her to become besties with! Otherwise, she would be happy to be your only pet (as she does not enjoy the company of dogs!).

Diva would be best suited to an adult only home, as she isn’t all too fond of noisy kids. She would love an indoor home where she was a cherished family member and will be the most amazing companion for the very lucky person who gets to take her home.
