Hey guys! We hope everyone is well. We would just like to let you know that our next batch of Purples and Blues will be going up on the Shopify website this Friday at 10am. Again these snabies were bred offsite and have a little erosion on the tips of their shells so they will be half price. As you can see they have gorgeous and vibrant new growth starting as well. Hello snail lovers!

Just wanting to let you know that the second batch of purples will be going up for sale this Friday the 1st of July at 10am. These snabies are from the same batch as the last ones which means they have erosion on the tips of their spirals. These will be half price because of that and it will be limited to three per person. Again, we would just like to thank everyone that has been patient with us and supported our small business. You guys truly have been amazing!

Hey guys! We would just like to let you know that we are now retiring our Breeding Stock as they are ready to enjoy their golden years. We are doing a final count on the purples we have left tonight and will let you know when they’re ready here before they go up on the website. Our Magenta’s, Black/Browns and Chestnuts have still got a bit of growing to do and they should be ready to go in about two months time but in the mean time we are heading away on holiday. Once we get back, we will be acquiring new stock to breed from. Thanks so much for everyone’s support! We really appreciate it! ☺️🐌

Hey everyone! We just wanted to share with you all what new growth can look like. A lot of the time people will mistake this for a crack in their snails shell.. When actually it’s healthy new growth forming from the base. So don’t stress, this is perfectly normal to see and a good sign that your water parameters are where they need to be ✨🐌

As beautiful as this boy is.. I do not enjoy photographing Guppies. I think I get a perfect shot and then realise it’s still blurry. I wish we could just train them to sit still like dogs 🤦🏼😂

Purples!! These guys are a beautiful purple maroon colour. The ones sitting at 2cm will be available as of next week and the smaller ones should be ready in about two weeks time. Please remember that this line is not ours and because we have noticed some shell erosion on the tips of their spirals, they will be half price. This erosion does not harm the snail in anyway and can heal over time. Just remember to keep your Ph levels nice and high and lots calcium in your water column! ☺️🐌

We get a lot queries on the colour of our snails. A well rounded diet and good parameters are of course always important when it comes to the colour of your fish and snails. What’s commonly over looked however, is the quality of lighting. We currently run the Week Aqua M Series and Ledstar lights and have found them to be very useful when it comes to taking great photos of our stock 🤩 Decent lighting= spectacular visual appeal

We have currently had a few people asking what parameters are best for their snails and keep in mind, everyone does things differently sometimes but Ph is probably most important when it comes to the health of your snails shell. We like to keep ours between 7.8-8. Crushed coral and/or cuttlebone is a great way to raise your Ph naturally and it also adds calcium to your water column. In addition, Temperature too can have an affect on your Mysteries shell development. While they might be very active in 28 degrees Celsius, this can be too warm and cause their shells to thin so keeping your tank between 21-25 degrees is beneficial. We love to see a strong shell! 🐚

We would just like to say that we know some of you are disappointed in missing out on this batch of Purples and Magenta’s and for that we are truly sorry. We are only a small business operating out of our home and can only hatch so many clutches at a time. If you missed out this time, don’t worry. We will have more of these colours available very soon (3-4 weeks) and then we have clutches also hatching in a few weeks. We may be able to organise a pre-order system but this takes some serious organisation skills so we will keep you updated on that. We thank you for your patience and remember, we still have beautiful Blues ready to go now 🐌💙

We absolutely love but have found the Electric Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) quite a sensitive species to look after (in our tanks anyways). Any slight change in Ph or Temperature can cause them to go south but once you get all your parameters stable, they can be wonderful to keep. Check out that beautiful colour 💎🐟
