Don’t want your whole yard enclosed in netting, and don’t have any trees or other tall objects near your fences, then you can choose to have a fence containment system installed instead. Black steel angled fence extension brackets are installed to the fence posts or fence rails, 3 strands of stainless steel wire rope is threaded across the top of the fence, at the bend in the brackets and across the top of the brackets, then cat netting is attached to the wire cables using hundreds if not thousands of tiny stainless steel c-clips, using a compressor and air-gun. It’s time-consuming work but gives a great result.

Another side yard enclosure. This time to keep a cat, and a small dog, safely inside their yard. Paw Guard mesh was added to the two net walls/zipper gates to stop any possible damage caused if the dog scratches on it. We do FREE on-site quotes. Book in via our website www.KatHavensByKaren.com

Live in an apartment with a cat and don’t want it leaping or falling off the balcony? Have your balcony enclosed in cat netting like our client in Richmond did today. It’s barely visible from the street and very see-through from on the balcony. Most owners corporations and property managers are now allowing cat netting of balconies as they understand many residents have cats and cats need and like fresh air, sunshine and love looking out over the world.

An architect busy at work as a cat haven creator. Here Des is drilling new holes into steel angled fence extension brackets. A string-line along the fence marks the line where the bottom of the brackets will go, to keep it all straight and looking architecturally pleasing. 😊⭐️

This is the second backyard cat enclosure we’ve done for Di. It’s lovely to be called back to a previous client’s home to help her to make her new home’s backyard safe for her very much loved fur-baby. This one was trickier than it looked because we had to attach the net to a brush fence and to clear a clothesline that was taller than the back and side fences. We had to keep the enclosure as low-vis as possible and so installing posts or angled fence extension brackets along the fence was a no, no. We solved the problem by installing just one bracket to the odd shift in the line of the fence just before the clothesline, angling it sidewards towards the line. There was also a tricky angled shape in the back corner, so we treated this area completely separately to the rest of the yard. We think it turned out great and Di and her cat do too!

Today we finished off making safe, Ella and James’ backyard, for their gorgeous cats. With CatNets angled steel brackets around the fences and a net roof over the end of the yard (where her cats could possibly climb up onto the big water tank and get up onto the roof or over the fences), their yard is now secure and their cats are safe and sound.

It was a hot and humid day on Tuesday, with some thunder and lightning to top it off, but we managed to finish this very long and high (18.5m long x 1.8m wide x 3.5m high) side of house enclosure in the one day. It has:
- a net wall with zipper gate shaped up and over a concrete retaining wall,
- a roof net that widens and gets higher and higher towards the front of the house as the fence drops downwards with the land,
- a triangle net wall above the front fence,
- a large triangular cat hammock, and
- two wall platforms so the cats can enter the enclosure from the window.

Another balcony enclosed to keep another cat safe. Why not have an area at your place transformed into a safe haven for your fur-baby, like Violet has done. Your cat will love you for it!

Your dedication to Evie's care is evident, Jaya, through the provision of this spacious and sunny side-of-house enclosure. With the inclusion of wall platforms so she can sit up high to look out over the neighbourhood, and with the addition of pot plants for shade, a kennel with internal litter trays, and some catnip grass, Evie will thrive in her outdoor environment.

To replicate this success, contact Karen at 0408394220 or explore www.KatHavensByKaren.com for expert enclosure solutions or to book in for a free quote.

Another great cat haven. This time half of a back patio is enclosed in cat netting in Glen Waverley. Kym’s two gorgeous cats can now leave the house and sit in the sun watching the birds in her lovely big garden. Kym has left the outdoor lounge setting inside the enclosure so she can comfortably spend time with her fur babies in there, and so they have comfortable furniture to laze on. What lucky cats!

Our latest Kat Haven was this side of house enclosure in Box Hill. Measuring 15m long, there’s plenty of room and lots to do for Kerryn’s lucky cats. An outdoor cat enclosure keeps your cat safe from the dangers that lurk in the neighbourhood, plus it keeps birds and other wildlife safe from your cat. To keep your cat safe from roaming the neighbourhood and to protect birds and other small wildlife from your cat, have an area of your yard enclosed in lovely black low-vis CatNets netting, like we did for Alex in Melbourne. She had her whole small backyard enclosed. With the addition of straight black posts installed around the fence line, it raised the height of the roof net to that of the house eaves, creating a lovely high, flat net. See more cat enclosure styles on our page or on our website. We do free on-site quotes too. Her cat took to the wall platforms straight away. Here it is lazing in the sun above the garage door.

Cara is a very responsible cat owner. She wanted her cats to be able to enjoy the fresh-air and sunshine, but she needed them to be safe. So she had half of her backyard turned into a Kat Haven.

We had to install timber across all the fence railings and up the walls of the house and created a timber gateway, to provide solid foundations to secure the netting. The house is a rental with decaying weatherboards and fences.

An existing backyard enclosure had a couple of extra wall platforms added to the back wall and a hammock reattached. The beautiful cat had missed its hammock and took to it immediately.

This morning we returned to a job we did 2.5 years ago. After a very wild and windy few weeks here in Melbourne and after 2.5 years of big possums walking across and laying on the roof netting, the enclosure looked remarkably good. All that was required was to replace two fixings that had been ripped out and tighten the netting on the old timber fence which had sagged a little. The possums had caused a little of the sagging by continually laying on the netting, but they hadn’t caused any other damage. We had used CatNets premium grade net (with a thread of stainless steel running through each strand) on this job. While we were there, Serge asked us to add two more CatNets platforms to the back wall of his house and to re-hang the cat hammock that had come loose. Serge sent this message and photo this evening. One very happy cat and one very happy client.

Today we finished off creating a very different cat haven - an indoor cat playground actually. What a fun and creative thing to do. And we don’t think it’s finished yet. We installed a range of CatNets’ ‘Skywalk’ pieces of play equipment, a timber swing bridge, and a cat door, onto and into the stairwell walls at Bruce’s townhouse in Pakenham. We envisage this is just the beginning. Your imagination runs riot once you start working on a project like this. The three cats of the family seem to like their new play space too, which is what what it’s so about. The ‘shopping list’ is included with the photos here.
