The Frankfurter is now Frankie No Nuts! 🤣 Thankfully Mum’s still getting kisses and he recovered beautifully…thanks @thornburyvet team 😘 He was in for his castration (aka neutering) this week, which is considered best practice for several reasons:- eliminates the risk of testicular and prostate issues like infections and cancer.- potential behavioral benefits, like reducing aggressive tendencies, territorial marking, and roaming instincts. This can reduce dog fighting incidents. Effectiveness depends on age at time of castration. Pls note there are many beautiful entire doggos out there. - Reduced roaming- castrated dogs are less likely to roam in search of mates, which can lower the risk of accidents and injuries. - helps prevent unplanned litters, which can contribute to the issue of pet. It’s important to note that while there are many benefits, it might not be the best option for every dog. Some breeds or individual dogs might have specific medical or behavioral considerations that need to be taken into account. When Frankie meets Chloe 💕💕 Getting Frankie out and about socializing and experiencing new things is super important at his age. You don’t want to overwhelm the puppy by throwing them in the deep end at a park, rather regularly and consistently get out and about with them having as many good experiences as possible.
