• Whiskey •⁠

Whiskey is a golden retriever crossed with a cavalier, basically a mini golden retriever! He is a beautiful and handsome cheeky rascal, full of personality and sass, and a complete social butterfly. He loves all humans and dogs. When visiting anywhere, he insists on saying hello with his loud bark - this can catch people off guard, but he means no harm at all and is extremely friendly! With the use of treats, due to his food motivated personality (he does have golden retriever in him after all!), Whiskey is able to perform tricks, including sit, stand, stay, drop, spin, roll over, high five and ten, sitting pretty, smile, whisper, speak, nose touch, waving bye. That being said, he is full of sass, and at times he will speak back if asking him to complete a trick he doesn't want to do, especially rolling over. Overall, he is a beautiful loving pup, full of energy when he wants to be, but also happy to sleep at home all day in very funny positions.

• Spartan •⁠

Spartan is a purebred Pomeranian. Miniature in size and about 2.6kgs. He is nearly 3 years old and living his best life! He is a happy and smiley boy and loves to chill out and meet new people. Loves the camera and is so photogenic. Spartan can sit, stay, give paw, lay down, high 5 and roll.

• Kombi •⁠

Kombi is a handsome 3-year-old male Hungarian Vizsla. He is a kind, loving, happy and playful boy. He is fit, healthy, shiny and strong. He always without exception receives a positive comment from passers-by regarding his looks or behaviour or fitness and we often get asked where we got him. He loves people and recognises their personal space, styles and character and hence behaves accordingly to each individual. For example he is very gentle around my dear 80yr old mum, cautious around children who may be scared of dogs and full hands on and rumble with those that love to play with him. He is excellent off the lead, loves a cuddle and knows approximately 30 words! He is a gift giver on arrival and the perfect protector barking only when he senses danger or stranger. Loves being with people and in constant contact or at least sight of us and his dog sitters. He doesn’t like being alone unless it’s routine and he has been fed! The most loving, funny and caring dog I have ever had.

• Rocket •⁠

Rocket is a shorthair cat with white fur with distinctive black markings on his body, face and tail. He is an extremely personable, friendly cat who loves to interact with others, both humans and other cats. If you pick him up, he'll be licking you within 30 seconds! He is great with children. He is a very emotionally intelligent and aware cat.

• Ned •⁠

Ned is a Golden Retriever pup, and he is our cheeky, sweet, little goofball! He loves our 23-year-old cat, Archie (not sure if Archie like Ned through). Neddy likes to spend his day chasing his AFL footy around (Looks like he will be a Hawthorn fan!) watching the birds go to town in our birdbath and looks forward to treats smeared in doggy peanut butter. He is always happy; tail is always wagging and in such a short space has brought so much love into our house.

• Sunny •⁠

Sunny is a golden long haired miniature dachshund! He is super friendly and loves all people, children and dogs. Sunny will do anything for a treat and loves being behind the camera. He is 6 months old and can sit and stay on command. Sunny glows in different lighting and has a gorgeous coat, he is a handsome little man for sure!

There is no way of truly predicting what breed and species of pet will be the most in-demand for animal casting. It will depend entirely on the brief and what the client is looking for. There is always room in the industry for the more popular breeds such as Labradors, but just as many opportunities for those with a face only a mother can love. • Mr. President •⁠

Mr. President is our 9-month-old male rescue. We are unsure of his breed, but he seems to look like he might be a Nebelung. He has been harness trained from 10 weeks old and is very happy to walk on a leash, head out to parks and pubs and pretty much travels with us anywhere without a fuss. He's a brave and very sociable and not scared of new people or most other animals at all. His favourite things to do are to jump around smelling the plants and chasing bees.

Pl***oy is a larger than life 4.9kg black & tan rough Griffon Bruxellois. His name is an absolute reflection of his personality, he is a little Pl***oy. He spends his workdays at a vet clinic with one of his mums, lounging, or wining & dining. He lives with his Persian cat best mates and has an affinity for giant dogs!

• What should your pet be like to enter the industry? •⁠

We recommend you start by having your dog socialised and trained so that they are both suitable and comfortable within the often-chaotic production environments. Some jobs may require specific obedience or the ability to perform a trick – if your pet is able to perform on-demand, they may be eligible for more opportunities! Teach your pet to respond to your commands and the obedience basics such as sit, stay, drop and roll. Most importantly, your pet should have good manners, be healthy and genuinely enjoy being the centre of attention!

Misty is a beautiful British Shorthair 5-year-old girl. Misty is very social, loves meeting people & making friends. Misty is very playful & especially loves playing with ping pong balls & loves her treats. She spends her days eating, playing, watching TV, napping & sits with me while working. Misty loves to get out in her backpack. Misty most of all loves her pats which sends her into a purring frenzy.

• Swoop •⁠

G'day! My name is Swoop. I'm a blue & tan Kelpie boy born on 18/09/2023. My Kelpie Mum was rescued from a rural farming area and when she came into foster care it was soon discovered that me and my 7 brothers & sisters were little surprise packages on board! I was born in foster care and my Foster Mum thought I was pretty special from early on so, while my littermates were all adopted into their new homes, I got to stay! I'm a very happy and social little bloke. I go to Doggie Day Care twice a week and loooove playing with all my pals there. My big Kelpie brother at home keeps me in line and makes sure I have good doggie manners and that I respect my elders. He is my role model! I also have a cat brother and I very quickly learnt that he is the boss and not to mess with him! I go to dog school training every week and I love learning new things! I'm a pretty clever little cookie. I'm also a bit of a dork and I make my Mum laugh with all my antics. I'm a typical busy Kelpie boy but I do also love a cuddle on the couch after a long fun-filled day.
