Andy the golden child ⭐️
is only 4 years old but due to his birth defect going to the beach is normally too much on his body anymore and this breaks my heart as it’s his favourite place in the world lucky for us having our laser at home meant we did a treatment before going to the beach one straight after and one this morning
It only meant Andy got 10-15 minutes at the beach but well worth it to see the smile on his face

When we talk about palliative care with dogs this is what we’re talking about managing their pain and symptoms so they can enjoy normal dog life with you for as long as we can pain free

Today’s meals how many times a day do you feed your dogs we are once a day feeders with a snack at the other end of the day what about you?

So let’s talk laser Now no one has ever said I was soft or subtle If the machine didn’t cost as much as a nice car it’s probably just an expensive heat pack/torch When asking your rehab therapist what laser they have You want a class iv therapeutic also known as HILT or warm laser I was lucky enough to be exposed to using cold class iii and both companion, and klaser Now the reasons and why I choose my amazing companion class iv laser My favourite feature is the patented on-contact treatment heads not only match the refractive index of skin to provide the most efficient delivery of dose, they are also the only treatment heads that provide tissue compression, fur parting, blanching of the blood and water, and also reduction of reflected light energy. This allows the user to deliver up to 80% better delivery of dose to deep conditions and maximise therapeutic response and efficiency of dosage. all the protocols, wavelengths and dosages on the most up-to-date research, they are the only company doing peer-reviewed research on our devices. Other companies actually use there research to work out there dosing protocols   The companion laser can deliver 25 watts continuously as long as I need it to treat for due to the additional cooling which is one of the reasons the devices are larger. Other smaller lasers relies on super pulsing and Intense super pulsing to deliver dose as their device isn’t capable of putting out maximum power for long as their cooling isn’t as effective. This has scientifically been shown to not effect therapeutic outcomes, the total dose of photons delivered to the target area is the only important factor in therapeutic response. Companion have a team of medical assistance vets available to answer any questions or offer expert advice on cases. They also company doing installation training in-person to provide the education and confidence to use laser therapy

IVDD is somthing we are very passionate @aurorathevetnurse we raise fund to support charities such as @dachshundivddoz we strongly believe prevention is better than a cure And starting treatment early, is so necessary for these breeds that are predisposed building muscle on your dog to help prevent any further deterioration in their joints is so important, and unfortunately anti-inflammatories and rest won’t do this for your dog as much as the crate is your mate getting started with class iv laser therapy we recommend @companionanimalhealth machine as they have the most up to date research and literature on dosage for conditions such as IVDD helps reduce inflammation and pain to help get your dog up and moving pain-free as quick as possible #ivdd #frenchbulldog #dachshund

So Chief was the most anxious working dog I’ve ever worked with he why so shy and terrified after an awful experience with a dog at a young age we have worked so hard to be able to do daily preventative care exercise with him that allows us to do fun sports games with him if your doing sports with your dog and your “fitness” is chucking your dog on a slat mill for 20 minutes you need to rethink what your doing to your dogs Musculoskeletal health I get so many comments about chief jumping and possibly going to rupture his cruciate unfortunately due to a dogs structure and shape they are much more likely to rupture a cruciate in comparison to human so your not wrong but to me this is the reason we do prehab to keep him fit strong and allowed to do all the fun things What do you want to talk about next I’m thinking slat mills as you can tell I’m not about them 😂 #prehab #koolie #bigboy
