Our very own, Dr Ann from Meow & Friends Vet, is currently in Mexico and has volunteered her time helping a local charity with cat desexing.

In conjunction with Meow Rescue, we were able to send a big box of items with Ann to help with a recent desexing day in Mexico.

Meow & Friends Community Vet along with MEOW Rescue are now international x

I'm a middle aged to older distinguished chappy who has been living at the vets since my previous owner left me behind. I've waited for months but no one has come to get me. The vet thinks I might have been hit by a car as I had a sore back and pelvis. I therefore might need a little extra care such as some joint supplements which the clinic will cover.
I've been called a loner as a stand up for myself with dogs. Honestly I'm just an introvert who likes my own company.

Please please don't give away kittens. So many rescues are still running their Last Litter Program where if you surrender the ENTIRE litter to them, we will desex mum cat FOR FREE!!!! It is frustrating to see kittens still getting given away when rescues are working so hard to reduce the number of kittens born thereby reducing the number of kittens sent to pounds or worse, dumped. Yes we know that SOME people will go on the get that free kitten desexed but the FACT is that most don't and we are chasing our tails trying to stop the flow. Please don't give free kittens for Christmas. They are not "free", they are a financial commitment and the person receiving the kitten may not be able to (or willing too) afford desexing and vaccinations. Please be part of the solution and not part of the problem. We don't need to know how it came to pass that your cat got pregnant. All we need to know is that you have them and would like to utilise their service. We are not judgmental so please, please consider using a Last Litter Program.

This program is for health care card and pension card holders via application.

Pet Food Bank this Saturday 28th October 2023 at Meow and friends community vet.
9am-11am

We are still receiving daily requests from people wishing to rehome or surrender their pets because they can no longer afford them.

Meow Rescue is run by volunteers and is a not for profit and Meow and Friends Community Vet provides low cost veterinary care for clients and is no profit.
We are both passionate about helping our community and keeping pets with their owners.

Our Pet Food Bank was created to offer free pet food to any pet owner who is struggling to feed their pets without judgement.
We’ll be posting more days throughout the year.

We will be offering free cat & dog food and veterinary advice from a nurse.

Spread the word to family and friends who may be needing help.
