Skeletal preservation is one of the longest processes I do here. Some people boil and bleach bones for a quick result, but those skeletons will only last a few years before they crumble. Boiling and bleaching is an incredibly destructive process that causes the bone to retain all the grease at best and quickly degrade into essentially dust at worst. My process can take 6-12 months but the results will last forever. No harsh or destructive chemicals used here 🖤
Mischa is already on her way home to her guardians. Thank you for the trust (and patience) with her preservation 🥀🖤
A staffy X soft tanned for his family 🖤
Tanning for taxidermy and tanning for rugs require a few different techniques to get the desired result, especially for pets. Getting a soft tan can be quite the challenge but the end result is worth the hard work.
Skeletal preservation for Majusia the maltese terrier. Her taxidermy was completed a while ago, but degreasing an entire skeleton can take up to an entire year extra. She's finally completed and ready to head home 🖤🥀
She was an old girl and a lot of her bones either had arthritis or were bowed, particularly her front legs. Her nails are also missing since they were needed for the taxidermy mount. It made it a little bit more difficult to piece her back together but we got there in the end.

The latest memorial service I've added; custom, handmade memorial boxes to store skulls, pelts, ashes and any other mementos. These boxes come with a lock and key to keep the contents stored away safely and can be stained any colour you prefer.

Another pelt preservation, this time for an orange tabby cat ♥️🌹
He passed away from natural causes and so his owner chose to preserve his pelt. Thank you as always for the trust.
Don't let the truth get in the way of a good headline though, right?
No, I didn't make a living room rug out of this golden retriever like the headlines say. I never expected this to make international news, so I'd like to clarify what it is that I do.
I create alternative pet memorials for those that want to keep a physical reminder of their pet. Some people choose only part of the pelt, some people choose the entire pelt. Some people prefer to keep their pets skull and cremate the rest. Some people want to preserve their pet sleeping forever as taxidermy. The pets I preserve are not 'floor rugs.' They are stored alongside ashes, photos, artwork, collars and whatever other mementos the owner has kept. It's the same concept as storing an urn on the shelf.
Thank you so much to everyone for the support over the last few days ♥️🌹It's been amazing to see so many new people interested in preserving their pets despite the crazy backlash this has received
