Day three of Holly Jolly Christmas Week - Today we enjoyed ‘Mistletoe’ Icy Poles! ❄️😋 Made with frozen raspberries, strawberries and fresh mint, it was the perfect treat for a hot summer afternoon.

Today was the second day of Holly Jolly Christmas Week! We celebrated our final Tuesday of the year by unwrapping Christmas presents 🎁🎄

The dogs all worked very hard on their paper and cardboard shredding to unwrap some fun and festive new toys! We enjoyed playing with stuffed Christmas characters, tug ropes, balls and a squeaky Christmas chicken.

Today was the first day of Holly Jolly Christmas Week at Barks and Recreation! We celebrated our final Monday of the year with Santa’s favourite snack - milk and cookies 🥛🍪

Our pups absolutely LOVED their puppuccinos! We used lactose free milk, warmed it up and frothed it and sprinkled it with finely crushed liver. Yum!

Welcome Chester our second new corgi this week! No stranger to daycare this confident little guy fit in perfectly with our high energy group, joining in with treat toys and wrestling 🤼 with his new friends Nemo the Australian Shepherd and Luna the Vizsla. Outside he enjoyed chasey with the group, jumping in the splash pad and digging in the sandpits. By quiet time Chester still wasn’t quite ready for sleep but after a few more rounds with Nemo he finally had a lay down. Welcome to the Barks and Rec family handsome boy and thanks for spending your day with us💕

He’s not a rug, he’s not a bear… he’s Teddy! 🧸🧡 Having been to daycare before Teddy was confident coming in, ready to take on the day and see what Barks & Rec is about! 😁 He started with a few chases of the ball and then went after some treat toys, masterfully knocking around the kong wobblers. Next he gave cardboard shredding a go before making his first friend, another Teddy! He then cuddled up to staff, showing his sweet and affectionate side, before heading outside with the group. 🥰 There he explored the pirate ship and hopped in both the sandpit and splash pad, before settling down for a sleep over quiet time. What a fun-filled first day, we look forward to seeing you in again soon!

Say hello to Vinnie — the sweetest big boy you ever did meet! 💛 This handsome guy LOVES his treats (and takes them oh-so-gently 🥹) and is a professional leaner when it comes to cuddles. We started our day early outside enjoying the beautiful weather, giving Vinnie plenty of time to explore and sniff to his heart’s content. 🌤️🐶 He quickly made friends with Cash and Pesto, joining in for a good zoom around the yard — this big boy can move! After the mornings excitement, Vinnie settled into our low-energy pen for a little rest before heading outside again. This time he discovered the sandpit, where he dug himself the fluffiest, coolest nest in the shade. 🏖️✨ Quiet time brought out his extra-smoochy side — lots of scritches were had before he picked the perfect napping spot. 😴💕 Thank you for being such a wonderful addition to our Barks & Rec family. We’ve already fallen completely in love with you. 🐾💛

Golden boy Hugo has had such a wonderful first day ever at daycare! We started with slow introductions, and he handled them like a pro. He made fast friends with Apollo, and before too long he picked a new bestie in Maple, with both playing nonstop all morning! 🥰 Hugo loved exploring outside and splashing those big puppy paws on the splash pad 💦 At first he watched the other pups in the pool, but once he worked up his confidence, he hopped right in and joined the fun. After that it was zoomies galore with the whole group, then treat toys, before a rest at quiet time. We loved having Hugo with us today, and we can’t wait to see him again! 💕

Meet Sammy, the adventurous little pup who embarked on his first day of daycare today! ❤️ This brave furball strutted into the group with a mix of curiosity and excitement, ready to make new friends and explore his surroundings. At first, Sammy needed a few reassuring cuddles from the humans, but once outside he really gained some confidence. He thoroughly investigated the garden and play equipment and happily mingled with the rest of the group. Sammy also proved himself to be quite the foodie, eagerly sampling all the treats and giving “5 paws up” to the liver 👍🏼 Well done on such a great start today Sammy. Here’s to more days filled with play, exploration, and tasty treats! 🥰

Meet Margo, the gorgeous Dalmatian joining us for her first day today! This lovely lady was super excited to arrive, and after settling in with some pats and treats was ready to join our high energy group. Margo seriously loved the squeaky chicken toy, 🐔 using it to play tug with the humans as well as new friends Sadie, RoCo and Luna. Margo also enjoyed the treat puzzles and a bit of fetch before making her way outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Margo explored the sandpits, had a play with Nala, then joined chasey with a whirlwind of cavoodles 😂 They tired her out so much that by quiet time she laid down with Kyra for a well earned rest. It’s a pleasure having you join our Barks and Rec family, Margo! We can’t wait to see you next time!💕
