Hi Lovely people, there is some works occurring in Canterbury Rd that have unfortunately caused our phone lines and internet to go down 😫 our phone lines have been diverted to
Our clinic mobile until we announce everything is up and running.

Wishing all our Canterbury Vet family a wonderful Christmas 🎄. We are closed for the 25th & 26th but we will be open at the clinic on Sunday 27th
10.00am -1.00pm if you need us with any fur family post Christmas worries.
We will be closed Monday 26th but back for a full day from 8.30am Tuesday 27th.
Emergency Centres are open if you have any concerns while we are closed.See attached photo.

We are so grateful to this wonderful group Rescued With Love for helping us with these sweet little angels that unexpectedly came into our care, they will always hold a special place in all of our hearts 🐶💕

Clifford has been missing since 3pm Tuesday 😢
Please look out for him on your walks, he does not have a collar on (as groomer had apparently not put it back on yet) so he will need to be taken to a vet to have microchip scanned. Help reunite Clifford with his loving family. 😢🐶💕

To our wonderful clients
We wish to assure you we are still running consultations and performing surgery. We are here for you and all your fur munchkins needs.
We are known for our thorough exams and high quality service and we continue to provide this while evolving and complying with all recommendations.
Veterinarians have been designated by the Federal Government as an Essential Service.

Apparently there has been a news story this morning saying that vets will only do phone consultations eith no exam and are not allowed to do surgery. This is obviously completely FALSE!
The Vet Board recommends what we are currently doing, seeing the pets in person in a client free premises. There is no restriction and there will be no restrictions in the future on what procedures Veterinarians can do..

COVID-19 update .
We just wanted to reassure our cvch community/family that vets have been designated as an Essential Service.
So even under the new stage 3 restrictions we can continue to provide services to you and your furry family.🐶💕😻

To our Canterbury Vet community…
We are still open but our doors are now closed to humans, but not our furry friends! In our efforts to keep our staff and community safe and minimise the risk of human to human transmission of coronavirus we have instigated a patient drop off system. Luckliy cats and dogs cannot contract COVID-19.

The key steps are:

🐾 Make an appointment as usual, but on arrival please remain in your vehicle and call the clinic to notify us of your arrival.

🐾 A nurse will then let you know how to proceed in transferring your pet into our care.

🐾 Your pet will be examined as usual by the veterinarian, who will complete the consultation with you over the phone.

🐾 Our preference is to process all payments over the phone to minimise contact. If needed, we can bring an Eftpos machine outside to you. No cash is being taken at this time.

🐾 For any medication or food orders, as always, we would appreciate you calling ahead so we can check stock levels (and order the products for you). We would also recommend processing payment ahead of pick up so we can simply deliver to your car on arrival.

🚫 If you fall in to any of the following categories, we would prefer you send your pet to the clinic with a friend or family member.
- You are positive for COVID-19
- You have recently returned from any travel
- You are self-isolating due to contact (or suspected contact) with an infected person
- You feel unwell
If you are unable to arrange transport for your pet, please phone the clinic to discuss and make arrangements for an appointment on a case-by-case basis.
If you need food or medication for your pet, we may also be able to arrange delivery to you.
We want to continue to give you and your furry family the best care possible, but also need to protect our staff and the community.

At this stage, we don’t know how long these measures will be in place but we will keep you updated on any changes. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time. If the measures of individuals working collectively can save even a single life, it will have been worth the effort.

We encourage everyone to follow all current advice on staying home as much as possible, and only leaving the house when absolutely necessary.

We hope everyone stays safe and all your pets are enjoying the extra quality time spent with their family! As a community, let’s all work together to get through this crisis.

An update on our clinic & COVID-19

We remain open, however, we have had to make some changes to keep things as safe as possible for our clients, staff and the broader community.
- If you are under any self isolation or are unwell in any way and need to come to the clinic, please notify us as soon as possible and then stay in your car on arrival and phone the clinic for further instuctions.
- Only one member of the family should accompany the pet to the clinic for consult as we need to limit the amount of people in the building at one time. We may also ask you to wait outside or in the car until the consult room is free for your pet's appointment.
- If you are high risk or in self isolation and your pet needs food or medication, we are happy to help with delivery where possible. Please phone the clinic to discuss.

As always, we will be keeping our premises clean and have been updating our protocols specific to this virus as new information comes to light, and will continue to do so.

We hope that you and your family stays safe and healthy and we appreciate all your support as we navigate this unusual and difficult time.

Hi lovely people, tomorrow Yarra valley water is doing some work in Rosemont st so access to the clinic will only be via canterbury rd into Rosemont , you will be able to drive into our driveway and park.
