Just wanting to thank everyone for their support over the years, as we have greatly appreciated it. We will be taking a break for the unforeseeable future as new opportunities have presented themselves.

Doesn’t seem that long ago that this fella was here for a couple of weeks of handling and tomorrow Locky will have his first ride on him.
Been a busy few days taking the horses out on the roads and exploring the nearby bush. With the recent rain, there was quite a bit of water laying around which was great for the horses to experience- they all initially shied at the water but soon got used to it!
Overall, all went well for their first trip out!

This little girl arrived on the weekend for a weeks work. She has had about six rides and has come here for a few more, with the most beautiful nature!

This fella is here to be broken in and we’ve just been doing a bit of extra desensitising with him. Every horse is different and comes with different levels of handling, so we tailor a program to suit their needs.
Been awhile since we’ve worked horses at night!
This big girl is here to be broken in. Locky is still in the groundwork phase with her at the moment but hopefully by the end of the week she will be ready for her first ride. She’s a pleasure to work with due to her kind nature!
Last week for this stunner! This mare (reckon I’ve got it right this time 😉) came to us with minimal handling due to her break in date being bought forward due to a cancellation. Big thanks to her owners for being flexible!
Her journey has been interesting to say the least! 😂 Locky’s developed a soft spot for this mare as she has such a promising future ahead of her!
Our latest arrival! This quiet and friendly gelding has come here to be broken in.

This little fella came for a short visit on Monday. He had previously been broken in, ridden for a week before being turned out. His owners just wanted to make sure nothing was going to happen when they bought him in for full work. Apart from not being a fan of the dogs, he didn’t put a foot wrong!
Second horse for the morning and it ain’t getting any warmer 😂
This horse is being bought back into work after many months off and is looking to be sold in the near future!
It’s been a busy week with Locky out handling a couple of horses at a clients property nearby, change of scenery was nice but it’s always good to be home!
He then spent the morning checking out a couple of horses for a client to see whether they would be suitable for the family before working the rest of the mob at home.

After a mid year break, we are back into the swing of things feeling refreshed and ready to go!
First up, we have this kind hearted weanling who came to us with minimal handling. She has made a lot of progress in the last week and can now lead, tie up, load and pick her feet up just to name a few!
Yet another incredible and memorable weekend! Massive thanks to the committee for putting on such a great event in such a short space of time and to my team mates for putting up with me 😂
⭐️ OPEN WINNERS - Saturday ⭐️
Our Open riders were ever so patient and understanding with a late start Saturday morning. Once we were underway the cattle proved a little tough with only 4 times scored in the first 50 runs. Things improved as the day went on with some great times coming through in the afternoon.
1ST with a time or 1:02 went to Teresa Hanrahan and Locky Ford.
2ND with a time of 1:12 went to Will Fitzgerald and Anette Fitzgerald.
3RD with a time of 1:16 went to Will Fitzgerald and Jane Fitzgerald.

Have had a busy few weekends recently. We decided to try something new and headed over the border to NSW to have a crack at team sorting. An incredibly cold weekend but an amazing one at that. Pretty stoked with our 3rd place! Massive thanks to the committee, volunteers and sponsors for making this event happen and my team mates for a great weekend!

We may have been a little quiet lately on here but it has been anything but at home. We’ve got a full house of horses from breakers to re-trainers and a variety in breeds and colours (the most important part if you ask Em)!
This beautiful warm blood has come a long way since arriving a few weeks ago, there’s no way you would have been able to wave anything off or around her when riding. Looking forward to seeing what her future holds.
It’s not too often we get them this big! She might not look it, but this gentle giant is about 16.3hh.
