Each year we conduct a Community Satisfaction Survey to find out what we're doing well and how we can better deliver our services.

From this Saturday 5 April, you may receive a knock on the door from a research company called Metropolis Research asking if you would like to complete the survey.

The staff at Metropolis speak 17 languages, and if the door knocker doesn't speak your language, you can request a call back from someone who does.

The survey will take around 15 minutes of your time and will help us serve you better in the future.

Read more about the survey and see previous year's results on our website, greaterdandenong.vic.gov.au/community-satisfaction-survey

Do you have concerns about a barking dog in your neighbourhood? 🐾

Start by having a conversation with the dog's owner - this could resolve the issue quickly.

If that doesn't work, you can make a report with us. An officer will then contact the pet's owner to find a solution. Before you get in touch, make sure you know the address of where the dog lives.

Submit a report by calling us on 8571 1000 or by visiting our website, greaterdandenong.vic.gov.au/report

Today is World Water Day 🌊

Did you know that most of the litter you see at the beach comes from litter dropped in suburban streets?

Litter in our streets can be washed into stormwater drains and flow through to the beach. You can help by putting your rubbish in a public bin when out and about or by taking it home with you.

Visit our website for more information on how you can keep our streets and waterways clean, greaterdandenong.vic.gov.au/bin-it

Batteries don’t go in any bin. 🗑️🙅‍♂️

Putting batteries in your kerbside bins can cause fires in your bins and in the trucks that collect them. Instead, take used batteries to a battery drop off location to be recycled safely.

Today is Global Recycling Day 🌏♻️

Small changes can make a big impact. A small change that you can make is keeping plastic bags out of your recycling bin.

Recycling in plastic bags can’t be processed by sorting facilities, even if all the bagged items are recyclable. This means the hard work you put into sorting your recycling will go to waste!
