August was Dental awareness month.
How do your fur baby's teeth look?
Remember Dental or Periodontal disease is more than just dirty teeth.
It includes:
- Plaque and tartar build up on the surface of the tooth
- Enamel damage and tooth decay
- Cracks and broken teeth
- Gingivitis (infection) and inflammation of the gum tissue around teeth
- Bone damage around the tooth roots
- Spread of infection from the gum to organs such as the kidneys.
