Hairy Hounds Playground was established in Williamstown, Melbourne’s west, in 2007 and was designed to help owners with their entire puppy and adult dog journey, from socialisation to manners training and of course to help tire out that fur-kid! We offer day care and specialised puppy day care with socialisation sessions dog training, dog walking, pet feeding, microchipping, sleepovers in your hom
e and in our homes and much more. Our staff have an array of qualifications from vet nursing to positive reinforcement dog training, from animal management services to animal welfare qualifications and volunteer experience. We’ve volunteered with small animals such as wildlife and companion animals and large animals such as elephants, orang-utans and other endangered animals. We believe that socialisation in a controlled and safe environment and manners training are integral to keeping dogs healthy and happy.

As always, there’s lots of behind the scenes work going on at Hairy Hounds Playground. Bits and pieces like organising flight vollies for luggage, collecting dog food from Narre Warren and delivering it to food parties. Fundraising, working hard to get sponsors and supporters onboard, organising events and thinking up the next crazy fundraising idea.
Collecting supplies from the medical pantry and ensuring the goodies go to those charities who need it and so much more!
We are heading to Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand at the end of the month and we’ll be delivering goods donated by the Medical Pantry and there’s room for some extra goodies like kids (or sensitive) sunscreen, KONG toys, fish supplements and unwanted medications.
If you love what Soi Dog do (and how could you not!) please check out their “wish list” and let us know if there’s anything you’d like to donate.
