🌡️Keeping Brachycephalic Breeds Cool during summer! ☀️

Brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, and Frenchies are adorable, but their unique facial structure makes them more vulnerable to overheating 🐶

🚨 Signs of Heat Stress

Excessive panting
Drooling
Lethargy
Difficulty breathing

How You Can Help 💙

Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day.
Provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
Keep in shaded or air-conditioned areas.

Because of their unique anatomy, even a few minutes in the heat can be dangerous for these furry friends.

As we welcome in the New Year, we want to remind our pet parents about the dangers fireworks can pose to our furry friends 🐶

While fireworks are a fun way to celebrate for us, they can be terrifying and even harmful for dogs. The loud noise, bright lights and unfamiliar smells can cause extreme anxiety and stress for many pets 🎆😔

What You Can Do 🐶

🎆 Keep your pets indoors
🎆 Close windows & curtains
🎆 Provide distractions
🎆 Consider a Thunder-shirt or speak to your veterinarian about safe medication to help your pet cope.

Today’s heat can be just as dangerous for our pets as it is for us. Please take care of your furry friends in this scorching heat! 🌡️🐶

💧Keep your pets hydrated with fresh cool water 💧

🌳Avoid long walks, stick to early morning or late evening, particularly our brachiocephalic friends!! 🌳

🏡 Stay indoors- if you can, keep your pets inside with air conditioning or fans to stay cool 😎
