And yet another beyond belief neglect case has broken our hearts. 😟
Another beautiful boy that arrived in our care emaciated, covered in mange, ticks the size of your finger and a nasty full body covering of fleas. His ears and nails have never received any care and he could not escape the relentless itching and burning sensation, a symptom of these skin conditions. Despite the pain and mistreatment he is the most loving and trusting boy. Better days to come sweet boy! 🥰

Meet Blare,
A horrible neglect case that has broken our heart and become a special project for our vets and nurses at our Bayswater Clinic. This boy is under a year old. He has been starved within an inch of his life and is so weak he can barely walk. Blare is also suffering from severe mange, fleas and tick infestation, and mites in his ears that have resulted in an awful infection. This boy is going to take a lot of love and care to rehabilitate before we can find his forever home. Please send your love and prayers Blair’s way and we will keep you updated on his progress! 😔🙏

The support and assistance in more than one area, of our volunteers and helpers are so applaudable that we are running short of words as thanks. This week many gave up their time to come and help Pets Haven prepare our facilities for the exciting new journeys we will be embarking on. We are truly blessed! ❤️🐾

One of our nurses on the way to our clinic this morning found a gorgeous duck that had been hit by a car and left severely injured and terrified. After a careful rescue, the duck was taken to a local vet to receive the help he needs. Pets Haven would like to remind you that our local wildlife deserves the same care and compassion as any other animal. The care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife must be referred to an authorised wildlife shelter or foster carer, wildlife rehabilitation organisation or veterinarian.

One year ago, this beautiful mother was rescued with her 14 puppies by the Pets Haven Shelter team. Lacey was an amazing mother, but with so many puppies, she needed a helping hand. For four weeks, the puppies were bottle-fed alongside their mother's milk. Thanks to our excellent foster carers and clinic staff, these 14 puppies and their mum found terrific homes! We are lucky enough to receive updates of these cuties so take a look at them now!

Meet our beautiful and sweet girl Goofy.
This poor cutie has not had an easy month. She came to Pets Haven after falling off a moving car traveling 80km and was covered in scrapes, road burns, and had muscular problems in her back legs. After an in-depth look from our excellent vets, it became clear this poor little girl was also ill. This required 24-hour treatment and care from our nurses to build her strength and heal her injuries. So now, after lots of rehab and support, this gorgeous, healthy girl is looking for her new loving home. Find out more about Goofy on our website! ♥️

Look at this handsome boy's improvement!
After just a week, we reduced the swelling and started to see hair growth on our sweet Milo! Lots of lotion rubs, baths, and antibiotics from our vet nurses have helped aid his recovery. Not long now, and he will be able to find his forever family! ♥️

What a busy day here at Pets Haven!
Another poor little man came into our care from an interstate puppy farm covered in matts and had mites burying under his skin and causing painful sores due to neglect! After our nurses had to shave him down to his skin and our vets treated this sweet boy, he was bouncing for joy around our waiting room, excited for the new family awaiting him in the future.

Tammy has found her forever home! ♥️
The excellent Amanda came in today to meet our sad little lady. As soon as they saw each other, there were smiles and tail-wagging for everyone. Congratulations to you both, and the Pets Haven Team is incredibly blessed to have such amazing supporters that called and offered to help out gorgeous blue girl.

For our team at Pets Haven this is the saddest of posts.
Last week these two beautiful dogs came into our care, that are longtime bonded soul mates. They were the beloved pets of an elderly couple that were no longer able to care for them. Patch, our one eyed sweetheart, was in great pain and riddled with cancer. Unfortunately after extensive examination there is nothing we can do to help this poor lady. Therefore, today we have had to say our goodbyes and let her cross the rainbow bridge in the sky. Poor Tammy is mourning her life time friend and emotional support buddy as she is a shy and sweet darling. This post is simply being shared to help us find the right home for Tammy as this is near and dear to our hearts. Please call 97295444 if you can be Tammy's emotional support and loving new family. This gorgeous boy is overflowing with happiness and love despite his medical conditions. Max was rescued by the Pets Haven Team and brought to us here in Bayswater due to his strange legs. Our vets concluded this 5-month-old sweetheart has a musculoskeletal condition where the bones have not formed correctly in his front legs due to calcium and vitamin deficiency in his puppy years. He is also severely skinny and malnourished, but after observations and lots of tests, Max is ready to find the new family that finds him as gorgeous as we do.

This poor baby boy was rescued by our shelter staff last night and brought to our Clinic for medical treatment. Henry is only 5 months old but already has a belly full of worms and skin conditions; he is underweight and suffers from cherry eye. This is the prolapse of the third eyelid gland. The third eyelid also contains a special gland that produces a significant portion of the eye's protective tear film. When this gland prolapses or "pops out", the condition is known as "cherry eye". Our amazing vets here are already well into his treatment and hope to have this boy looking rolly polly and healthy for his new forever home.

This poor little lady has not had an easy life. Ellie came from an interstate puppy farm with severely matted fur, nasty ear infections as seen in the pathology photos, eye scarring, reproductive issues from over breeding, and severe dental neglect that resulted in most of her teeth being removed. After lots of care and attention from our clinic staff and fantastic vets, she has now transformed. This is why early check ups for your furry friends are so important! :)

How would you even know these kittens came from a trash bag!?
These four little cuties were dumped in a trash bag on a worksite and then rescued by a fantastic passerby. Now they are healthy and growing due to the amazing Pets Haven Foster carers and Clinic staff.🐾♥️

Our Pets Haven Shelter staff found this sweet boy covered from head to toe in severe mange, a skin disease caused by parasitic mites. Poor Milo was in excruciating pain and unable to move without causing his skin to crack and bleed. With barely any fur and swollen skin, we are unable to determine his breed or colouring but look forward to his beautiful recovery. When he arrived at our Clinic, he was given a treatment bath and smothered in soothing cream to ease his pain and help his skin begin healing. Better days to come for this adorable boy!

Pet's Haven has taken in the poor rescue dog named Hope this week. This sweetheart has come from an interstate puppy farm that left her in a horrible condition that has broken our hearts. She has never been inside a house or received adequate care to thrive as a healthy dog, but our vet clinic has done a fantastic job of removing rotten teeth, cleaning up an ear infection, and finding a grade 2 patella luxation. Unfortunately, Hope also had a skin condition and severe matting in her fur, so we have now made this beauty ready for your loving home. Happy days to come for this beautiful girl and her new family.
