REMINDERS & CANCELLATION POLICY CHANGES

Due to the high volume of cancellations recently we have implemented the following:

* Reminders for the week will all be sent out on the Saturday prior, not the day before as we have previously done.

* If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment 48 hrs notice is required otherwise a $50 cancellation fee will apply- no exceptions.

* Please note if you are wishing to reschedule your appointment we are currently booked out 6 weeks in advance so have no room to squeeze a re-scheduled appointment in.

* If your doggie is not kept to their regular grooming schedule they may have to be taken much shorter than you like, we absolutely won’t cause a dog the pain of de-matting, and it will cost you more as it takes longer to groom.

* We will continue to love & pamper all our four-legged clients as we have always done, no changes there ❤️❤️❤️

Just to reassure our lovely customers, our property is currently on the market. Should we sell we will be opening our business, Peninsula Dog & Cat Groomery in a shopfront in the local area and Kylie, Brooke & myself will still be grooming your lovelies ❤️

She works hard for them treats!🐾

Everything has gone up.
Food, fuel, power water and gas.

And the K9's know they have to work that little bit Extra to get the spoils of life.

Some are starting part time jobs to get that extra treats or get a new toy.
Or a fancy new collar and lead set 😍

Bonnie here decided she was going to dance on the H frame to pay for her Groom.

She's a great little dancer and I'm sure she will be a big star one day.

Today she got plenty of treat for her effort 👌

As many of you have heard from Dan, dog grooming is allowed. It is however only vets, pet store groomers and mobile groomers who are authorised providers.
Unfortunately we remain closed until who knows when. If your furbaby is in need of a groom for welfare reasons please contact one of the above. Do let us know if you do get your doggy groomed so when we can reopen we can reschedule appointments appropriately.
We are missing our lovely 2 & 4 legged clients and hope to see everyone sooner rather than later.
❤️ Dianne, Kylie & Brooke.

LOCKDOWN UPDATE
Unfortunately we remain closed until at least next Friday 20th August.
Once we know we can Re-open, all appointments including those with future appointments, will be Re-scheduled. Those who missed out first, getting in first etc. this is the only fair way of doing it as we run about 5 weeks booked in advance. We have temporarily closed our books to new clients until all this lockdown stuff settles.
Love to all our lovely furbaby clients 🐾🐶🐾

05/08/2021

Closed yet again. Same same, will be in contact with those who will miss their appointment in this lockdown, once we have a definite Re-open date. Stay safe.
Dianne , Kylie & Brooke xx

20/07/2021

Still closed for at least another 7 days. Will be back in contact with those who missed their appointment due to lockdown, to re-schedule once we know when we can officially re-open. 🐾🐶🐾

DOG GASTRO has hit the Peninsula. Symptoms can include vomiting, diarrhoea, feeling flat. It progresses rapidly and it’s important they receive veterinary attention. It’s advisable not to frequent high dog traffic areas like dog parks etc whilst gastro is going around. If you think your dog may have any symptoms please re-schedule their grooming appointment.

03/06/2021

UPDATE: Unfortunately we still remain closed until at least next Thursday night as part of the current COVID restrictions.
Once we receive clarification of when we can reopen I will start to reschedule the bookings.

Here we go again........
Unfortunately appointments booked from Friday 28th May until Thursday 3rd June will now be placed on hold. At this stage we won’t re-book these appointments until it is confirmed when we can re-open. I won’t be taking any new appointments until we get through the back log of re-scheduled appointments. It will be a challenging task as we are currently pretty booked up for 6 weeks.

Stay safe, Dianne, Kylie & Brooke xx

We havent had time for any photos.
So lets fix that! 😁😁😁😁

These 2 cute puppies that were in today for their first ever puppy grooms.

Both had so much fun playing and were very well behaved.
Looking forward to watching these 2 grow up....but not too fast.
We want our puppy cuddles to last 😍

12/02/2021

As per the latest DHHS directives we will be closed until at least Thursday 18th February. I will contact those with Pre-booked appointments for next Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, to be re-schedule once it is confirmed we can re-open Thursday. Stay safe everyone. ❤️🐶🐾❤️

Dianne, Kylie, Brooke and Mel would love to thank all our lovely, Beautiful , Amazing and Wonderful clients and their Furbabies, Pooches and kittys for supporting and choosing us to take care and groom your pets.

This year has been a hard one with Covid and us having to close shop for a few months.
Especially when its our busiest time of year and alot of dogs were over due.
We're so happy you all understood that some of your pets had to go a bit shorter then normal.
With matting and knots, and alot of you did soooo well maintaining your pets in the time.

We just want to take this time to thank each and every one of you for supporting us and our small Business.
We love each and everyone of your furbabies and treat them like our own.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the new year and stay safe and love your pets every day.

Love all of us.
Xoxox

Merry Christmas

*** APPOINTMENTS ***
🐶🐶 DOGS: I believe I have now contacted and re-booked all the dogs on our waiting list. If I haven’t yet been in contact, I do apologise and please call or message me and I’ll fit you in.

🐈🐈 CATS: I am only just starting the re-booking of cats. We only have very limited cat grooming days this year and most on the waiting list will have to be booked into next year unfortunately.

18/10/2020

WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN AGAIN!!!!!
As from tomorrow we are back up and running. Most of your furbabies are pretty desperate to be groomed, I will be contacting everyone once I’ve sorted out the bookings. Whilst we would dearly love to be able to fit everyone in this week, it is physically impossible. Our booking procedure is firstly to book in all those who had a Pre-booked appointment and missed it due to the shutdown followed by those on the waiting list in order. The reality is it’s going to take a good 6 weeks to get to groom everyone. Many grooms will need to be shorter than normal, we will assess each doggie upon check in and advise what’s possible. We will NOT be causing any dog pain by de-matting them, it’s humanity over vanity, dog hair grows about 1cm a month so they won’t be long until back to their fluffy cute selfs. We are really looking forward to seeing our gorgeous 2 & 4 legged clients again. If you’ve left messages etc please be patient with me, I will endeavour to contact everyone this week, if you don’t hear from me this week please call me as I will more than likely accidentally forget some! See you all soon. xx

Dan Andrews has confirmed home groomers are NOT ALLOWED to groom at this stage. 😥

28/09/2020

********** FURTHER UPDATE *******
We are not permitted to open as yet. Even though the media is reporting pet grooming as now open it is only retail facilities, not those on a residential property. I have confirmed this with Business Victoria this morning.
At this stage we will be opening with the next step, Monday 19th October. In the next week I will be getting back to everyone who had a pre-booked appointment first and then those on the waiting list, with their new appointment. The reality is we can only groom so many dogs in a day and there is going to be a long wait for some to get in. We also won’t be putting any dogs through de-matting, they may need to be clipped short but rest assured their hair will grow back again. Please be patient, if you had a pre-booked appointment during the shutdown period or you have contacted me since to be on the waitlist, I will get back to you in the next week. Looking forward to seeing all your furbabies again. 🐶🐶🐶

19/09/2020

***************** UPDATE ******************
I am yet to get back to everyone for appointments. Just awaiting clarification. Even though Dan Andrews announced last week grooming can re-open from the 28th September, the DHHS have since put out the guidelines. Of course it’s as clear as mud, retail facilities are definitely allowed to open but there is confusion around residential home based groomers & the 5km rule. We are hoping for clarification in the coming few days and if it’s positive news I will then be in contact with everyone to book your furbabies in. I just don’t want anyone getting fines which are quite substantial.

12/09/2020

RE-OPENING DATE - ITS OFFICIAL....
Dan Andrews has just announced dog grooming salons can open from Monday 28th September - thank goodness!!!
I will be doing all the Re-scheduling in the coming days & will let everyone with pre-bookings & on our wait list, know when we can fit them in. We will do our best to accommodate everyone but due to the backlog there may be a wait of a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing those gorgeous puppers again. xx

RE-OPENING UPDATE
At this stage it looks like we may
be re-opening either Monday 28th September or it may not be until 26th October. It’s all very unclear and I’m sure we will know more information in the next few days.
Again I won’t be re-scheduling any appointments until the opening date is confirmed. Unfortunately most dogs will be in urgent need of grooming by then and we will do our best to accommodate everyone as quick as we can. First preference will be to those who had Pre-booked appointments and missed their appointments during lock-down followed by those on our waiting list. The reality is some dogs will be matted and we will have no choice but to go short. It’s not our preferred option but we will not cause any dog pain for the sake of de-matting. We are lucky to be going into warmer weather & dog hair grows, it may just take a couple of months to get back to normal length.
I will keep everyone updated. In the meantime please keep brushing & combing your gorgeous pooches.
Stay safe & we miss you all, both 2 & 4 legged.

The team at Peninsula Dog Groomery xx

Hey everyone hope your all staying safe and well during this lockdown.😊
We would love to see what you have been getting up to with your dogs and cats.
Post a photo in comments.
This is Bruno, kylies boy.
Enjoying the beach and making his own entertainment with a palm tree branch.🤣
We cant wait to see you all again soon and get everyone looking fresh again.

TO ALL OUR LOVELY 2 & 4 LEGGED CLIENTS.

Due to Stage 4 restrictions we will be closing at 11:59pm tomorrow (Wednesday 5th August) for 6 weeks lockdown.

We know many of you have bookings in the next 6 weeks and I will get around to re-scheduling these appointments and let you know your new appointment.

You will just need to pay extra attention to brushing especially Faces, ears, tails & legs. Also bathing under eyes with a damp cotton wool ball & combing with a fine tooth comb will help prevent uncomfortable eye gunk.

We appreciate your understanding in such challenging & unprecedented times.

It’s only for 6 weeks and time will fly by. Hopefully we can kick this thing in the butt if everybody does the right thing.

Stay safe and see you in 6 weeks.
Dianne, Kylie, Brooke & Mel. xx
