"Hop To It" is an in-home bunny boarding facility, although quite often it becomes a boot camp for some of our more spoilt guests! We are able to offer a range of other services from Post Op care, to administering both oral & injectable medications. We also offer, grooming, clipping, nail trims & can supply what ever foods your bunny is used to. We prefer either Oxbow or Burgess but can supply qui
te a range of pellets, & hay. Some of the premium pellets & Hay have an additional fee but the rest of the food is all inclusive. Boarding buns are treated like one of the family, coming to sit in with us of an evening for cuddles or just a bit of exploring. Our own pet bunnies are in a different area & cuddle time is alternated. We also offer bonding while your bunny is staying with us if you are searching for a companion for your bunny.

Just a note to say that I will be away for approx. 3 weeks so the volunteers will be managing the rescue while I’m away.
That includes the shop so please be patient with orders. We will have new stock of Burgess and Bunny Nature at some point next week but unsure of the day.

I’m sorry to be letting you all down, but I will cease taking boarders until further notice. Excluding current bookings.
It’s just become too much for me to manage with the refuge, work and family. Unfortunately the times the boarding is most needed is when I’m down in help as everyone wants to go away at the same time.
Thank you for your support over the years and maybe one day we will be able to offer our services again after a rest.
We are full for Easter and school holiday boarding this year.

Keep an eye on your emails if you have asked to be notified. As soon as they are listed on the shop as in stock you will get your notification.

Please be aware that our booking process has not actually changed. The only change was during covid when you had to book in for drop off and pick up. You still had to book your dates in via email. That is still the case but you no longer need to ”book in” the drop off and pick up times.
Please complete the form, EMAIL it to me along with the buns current vax certificate and an identifying photo used here for ID.
You will find the boarding form in the ABOUT section under MENU!
We need your form in advance so please do t just bring it with you. There are a few things we need to do prior to arrival and the info is on your boarding form!
We are still required by law to only have vaccinated hoomans at the refuge. We need to sight your vaccination status so please don’t be offended.
We don’t need fines!
Once I receive your forms, your drop off and pick up times (that you entered) will be recorded in the calendar.
If you need to alter your times please email me in the same thread.
Also please remember that just because you email a form it doesn’t mean we can automatically fit you in. There are many factors we need to consider so spaces vary from week to week.
Best advise, get in early!
You can also place an order on our shop for anything you wish to collect at pick up time. Just head to www.hoptoitbunnies.com place your order and in the shipping section, select pick up from the drop down menu.
This is normally an “active volunteer option” only but also applies to adopters (at time of adoption) and boarders (at time of pick up). You can also buy some items for your bun during their stay, just pop it in the notes and remind me when you drop them off.

*MYXOMATOSIS WARNING*
We have (unfortunately) started to see some cases of myxomatosis, originating from around the Eltham, Vic general area.
Myxomatosis is a fatal disease to rabbits, causing swelling of the eyes, ears and ge****ls with a high temperature, rabbit usually die of their symptoms 2-3 weeks after onset.
It is transmitted by biting insects, primarily mosquitos, or direct contact with infected rabbits.
There is no treatment and unfortunately the vaccine against this awful disease is not available in Australia.
Please keep your rabbits indoors if at all possible (especially at dawn / dusk and on hot still days) and use anti-mosquito protection (flyscreen's, insect repellents and sprays).
