DOG – Scientific name: 'Canus Lupus Familiaris.'
Dogs are all direct descendants of wolves. The domestic or feral dog is a sub-species of A GRAY WOLF, a member of the Canidae family that includes domestic dogs, wolves, foxes, jackals and coyotes. It's a carnivore - feeds upon flesh! Dingoes are also considered a domestic dog.
