❤️💛Appreciation Post 💛❤️

This week is National Volunteer Week. A week to give thanks and show appreciation for all volunteers. Croydon Dog Club is a volunteer run club. Without them we would not exist. So today we say a massive THANK YOU to every single one of our volunteers! We currently have over 60 amazing volunteers who help run our club every week. From the admin team in the office and behind the emails, to the bbq volunteers who keep our stomachs going on a cold morning. To the committee who keep us running, to the shop manager who keeps our dogs’ stomachs going on those same cold mornings. Our lastly, our instructors. We would not be who we are without these amazing people who are out teaching you every week come rain, hail or shine. So thank you to all our volunteers, whether you have been with us months, years or decades. Thank you for giving up your weekends, sacrificing family time, adding to your work load and standing in the rain.

One final note, National Volunteer Week is also about inviting people to have a go at volunteering. So if you would like to help our club in any capacity, even if you are unsure of how you could help then please get in touch. We love volunteers!

(b) be aged between 12 weeks and 5 months (aka born on or between 12/12/2023 and 18/02/2024).

If you do not meet these requirements, your membership will be rejected and your payment refunded.

2. SECURE YOUR SPOT IN CLASS AND PAY - Visit our website at the link below and follow the prompts through to payment.
https://www.croydondogclub.com.au/enrol/

3. CREATE YOUR BETTER IMPACT PROFILE - After payment, you will see a thank you screen which directs you to create an account on our database Better Impact. If you add more than one person to your membership, you must create a Better Impact account for each person. Please complete this immediately after payment so we don’t have to chase you. This platform allows you to upload the documents we need to check before you can start with us - your dogs’ vaccination record/titre test results and your ID.

4. AWAIT YOUR CLASS ALLOCATION EMAIL - We will contact you to confirm your class details (including the name of your instructor and other information such as what to bring with you on your first day) once all places have been filled and everyone has uploaded all of their relevant documents to Better Impact.

If you visit our website and see the message “out of stock”, all our available memberships have been exhausted. If you miss out this time, please don't contact us asking to be put on a waitlist. We are working hard to offer as many places as possible.

If you experience technical difficulties, please capture evidence of your technical difficulty and contact us so we can help you to resolve the issue.

Will your dog be older than 5 months of age on this date (born before 12/12/2023)? Your dog is only eligible to enrol in our Basic Obedience class. We do not have places available in Basic Obedience at the moment. Please keep an eye out for future updates.

Will your dog be 12 weeks old or younger on this date (born after 18/02/2024)? Your dog is only eligible for our Pre-School Class (for puppies aged 8-12 weeks of age). You can visit our website for more information on this class, but please be aware that preschool books out 4-6 weeks in advance (ie we are unlikely to be able to book in a pup who is 8-12 weeks old today).

If your dog has previous obedience training and you would like to be assessed to determine whether your dog can proceed to Basic Obedience Two or post-B2 disciplines such as agility, rally, advanced obedience and flyball, please email our Chief Instructor at [email protected].
