Did you know we have a full in house pathology suite at the clinic? 🩸🔬
👉 That means we can perform many of your pets blood and urine testing and cytology and get results straight away
👉This is especially useful for sick pets to help us get to a diagnosis quicker
Rosie
Rosie is a long term patient of ours who recently became unwell. Rosie had developed chronic kidney insufficiency as well as pancreatitis. Rosie's owner Glen has been very dedicated with her care, and she was treated in hospital and discharged 48h later. Rosie has come along in leaps and bounds since then and we love receiving videos like this showing just how well she is doing!

Endoscopy to remove linear foreign body
Warning gross content!
This video shows Drs Emma and Olivia performing endoscopy to remove a 50cm length of ribbon from Tilba the cat’s stomach!
Tilba and her sister Tully had been playing with the ribbon earlier when suddenly it went missing. The owners weren’t sure which cat might have eaten it. Tully had endoscopy first to look in the stomach but alas we didn’t find any ribbon. Next up was Tilby who turned out to be the ribbon eating culprit!
Linear foreign body’s such as ribbons can lead to dangerous consequences for pets if left to pass through on their own. One end often gets lodged at a point in the gastrointestinal tract and then as the intestines attempt to move the foreign body along it results in the intestines bunching up. This can lead to intestinal perforation and peritonitis.
Luckily the owners of Tilba and Tully caught them right away and brought them straight down for treatment. They both recovered well from their procedures!
Teddy was the cutest little patient in the clinic today!!!
