rse and animal husbandry experience. Dog Walking - 30 minute or 45 minute solo walks or 1 hour group walks

Dog Sitting - I come and spend time with your pooch for an hour and that includes a 45 minute walk, feed, water change, and any other needs you may have.
**Overnight stays available but conditions apply**

Cat sitting - I spend some time with your kitty and make sure all the cats needs are met and to give it that extra special attention while you are away! Pet Taxi - Pick up and drop off at airport

☀️🐾 Keep Your Pets Safe in the Heat! 🐾☀️

With temperatures reaching up to 31°C today and 41°C tomorrow, it’s vital to keep your pets cool and safe. Here’s how you can help your furry friends beat the heat:

💧 Stay Cool:
• Keep pets indoors with the air conditioner or a fan on.
• Provide cool, damp towels for them to lie on.
• Offer plenty of fresh, cold water.
• Avoid walking during the hottest part of the day — stick to early mornings or late evenings.
• Make DIY ice block treats with their favourite goodies, fruits, veggies, or bone broth.
• Don’t forget to leave water out for our friends outside in need — birds, wildlife, and stray animals will appreciate it! 🦜🌳

🐾 Check the Pavement:
Use the 5-Second Rule before walking your dog:
1. Place the back of your hand on the ground.
2. If you can’t hold it there for five seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.
Walking on hot surfaces can burn your pet’s paw pads.

☀️ Signs of Heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Red gums
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Weakness or collapse

If you suspect heatstroke, seek emergency vet care immediately. Closest options are:
• AVC in Kensington
• ARH in Essendon Fields

A reminder that it’s going to be a scorcher today and if you haven’t walked your dog by 9.00am, when it was a more than warm 29 degrees, then it’s too late to venture outside.

Our precious furry friends can collapse or even die from heat stroke at a mere 20 degrees, depending on the breed and health of the dog.

Stay safe and cool out there 😎 🐕
