A domestic shorthair black female cat, approximately six months old, has been sighted on the streets and is believed to have already delivered one or two litters. Efforts are underway for her rescue, with a suspected pregnancy, pending confirmation at the time of intake. She demonstrates affectionate behavior towards the feeder, but may exhibit reservation towards others. Additionally, she displays signs of flea allergy dermatitis and excessive grooming. We are seeking a foster home for her care.

This is Jupiter and he will be attending Adoption Day on Saturday!!
He is now 9 months old and has grown up in care since he was a tiny kitten. His mum and all his litter mates hade been adopted.

Did you know that cats are believed to be unable to taste sweetness in foods? 🍭🍭

Meet Angelina🐈, ironically super sweet this girl is around 2-3 years old and came to Furkids as a mother. Despite her past responsibilities, she maintains a very gentle nature and enjoys running around the house, relishing the childhood she didn't have.

Angelina's favorite spots include the window sill, where she gazes out at the world, and her favorite chair, where she basks in the morning sun. Her affectionate nature shines through as she eagerly gives kisses and purrs contently to express her love and happiness.

Angelina hasn't been with other cats but a slow introduction would likely be successful and make her feel comfortable and confident in her new surroundings.

Angelina is $200 and comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.

She is a little ball of energy. She loves running and climbing and playing with her siblings. Having no tail which she was born without does not stop her from having fun. She is a lovely, friendly and confident soul.

Time for Gypsy (mumma) to finally find her furever home. This is Boots, Dora, Cooper and Louie’s mum who have all been adopted. It’s now Gypsy’s turn.

Gypsy has lived on the streets her whole life until she was caught by her current foster carer who has seen Gypsy raise litter after litter and FurKids took her on.

She is a perfect sweetheart and loves being a lap cat sitting on your lap or laying in bed with you but due to always fighting on the street to protect herself and her kittens, she is still learning that other cats can be friends. Gypsy currently lives with other cats but will tend to chase them away if they get too close to her person (foster carer). Due to these factors we recommend more than a one person household, experienced cat owners and if other cats are in the home, owners must be willing to persist with training. This doesn’t exclude the option a one person, one cat home.

Gypsy is good around older kids and has spend time around 3&4 year olds as long as they are calm and don’t chase her.

URGENT, URGENT FOSTER CARER NEEDED:
Owner Surrender

Molly was adopted back in 2020 during the pandemic. She is a tabby medium her female who is about 7-8 yrs old and is FIV positive.
Molly likes to sit in the windowsill and watch, she can be scared of new people, but isn’t afraid to come and say hello once she knows you.
She will come into a room to sus out what your doing and keep you company. Hates sudden movements, but will come and sleep next to your head in bed if she feels like it. Molly loves her dry and wet food, particularaly anything fish or chicken flavoured. Also loves cooked chicken every now and again as a little treat.

Molly has some unresolved medical issues that need further testing.

Do you have a spare room, bathroom or laundry where Molly can hang out?
Do you drive to help support Molly’s vet visits?
Are you able to provide Molly with the TLC, patience and care?

We know we are asking a lot but if we don’t take Molly in, she will be sent to a shelter.

Meet Teddy

This boy is around 2-3 years old and is a gentle giant, he is from Hallam and has lived on the streets but is now loving life in care and looking for his forever home. This boy loves to have a pat and is truly soaking up what it is to be loved in an indoor space with comforts he never knew before.

Did you know humans have been known to keep cats for almost 10,000 years!

Penny is a shy cat that would be best suited to a quiet home. It will take her a while to become comfortable in her new environment but you will be able to pat her and pick her up although she prefers all feet on the ground. She’s not really a snuggler.
She is happy sleeping on your bed right up against your legs. She is a great cat for company.

Did you know a cat can have a litter of kittens with different fathers? This is because the female releases multiple eggs over a number of days so there can be multiple fathers to one litter explaining why kittens in the same litter can look very different from one another. 🐈

Meet Dotti, she is playful and enquisitive and loves to explore. This gorgeous kitten has been available but just not chosen since June when she was just 10 weeks old. It is recommended for Dotti to be adopted with another kitten or have a cat at home already as she loves company. Did you know that cats come down trees backward? This is because their claws curve down so they have to go down the same way they go up. Understandably this is much slower and they like to do it when people aren't looking as they are vulnerable with their back turned which is why people believe they are stuck! 😸

Dakota is a study buddy, she is currently with a foster carer who works some days from home and loves to keep her company while she works. Dakota isn't a big fan of loud noises but does love a pat and can be very playful when she is comfortable.
