Hello friends, it’s been awhile between posts! A lot has been happening; darling Dolly and Phi both passed away a few months ago within in the same week. Dolly had kidney failure and Phi had liver failure. It was a tremendous sadness to say goodbye to both special girls.

Teddy is still with us and absolutely thriving! Little Cookie Monster, now 20 years old, is living for his pram walks and snacks, and shows no signs of slowing down. Oscar is loving his golden years, spending most of them snuggled up on the bed, and we have a new addition, little Angel the toy poodle, our very first young resident (3 years old!), bringing new life, playfulness and joy into our home which has been filled with so much grief and passing.

With so many of my babies passing on, and the huge financial burden that rescue has become for me in recent years, I will be closing my doors for a while to recover and heal my life and myself.

Palliative and senior dog rescue/care is not for the faint of heart, and although so full-filling and life affirming, it has certainly taken its toll on my mental, emotional and financial health.

Thank you for all of your support everyone!
See you in a little while,
Heidi and the doggy crew Xx🐾🩵🏡

Hello friends, I have someone wanting help to rehome a Staffy X Staghound, 14 years old, male. Would anyone be interested? I can get more info and a photo to share, I’m just putting feelers out at the moment. He’s had a couple of unsuccessful re homing try’s with family members but none have been a good fit.
Please get in touch with any interest.🐾❤️😊

Our Story

Our mission is to get senior dogs out of pounds and in to the safety, comfort and security of foster and forever homes. Most of the senior dogs that come into our care require de-sexing, dental work, surgeries, blood work ect. and also rehabilitation and training. We are devoted to providing the right care and loving foster and forever homes for senior dogs in need.

We are a small group but we do what we can! We are completely non-profit and run by amazing volunteers.

Thank you for your support and interest in saving a senior dog! :)
