Hey guys. I have been getting a few messages lately asking about how the pastel stimson project is going so i thought i would give you an update on how things are looking.

I haven't been pushing the project to hard in the last few years as we have had alot of family issues that has taken priority over snake breeding.
But what we have been able to achieve so far has been quite exciting. Last year was the first time we breed a visual Pastel to visual pastel with all hatchlings come out as Visuals. All visual animals that we have produced has allways had a visual parent . This season we are only useing offspring from visual parents .
We are hoping to finally be able to prove it out one way or another.
This years clutches for this project are as follows.

Wild type offspring from visual parent x wild type

Wild type offspring from visual parent x wild type offspring from visual parent.

Wild type offspring from visual parent 100% het T+ evans stimi x Wild type offspring from visual parent 100% het t+ evans stimi.

All hatchling visual pastels are allways born looking very different to there wild type offspring. As they age from 6 to 18 months there colour gets darker, but by the time they are breeding size they are back to showing very similar characteristics to a hypomelanistic animal. There does seem to be some natural colour and patterning variation in the visuals animals.
Hopefully if all goes to plan this season i will be able to finally prove the genetic inheritance mode out and move on some animals from this project. Cheers 🍻
