Most of you have seen this picture.. it is the groom I did to win best in group pure bred scissor.

Being able to groom like this takes dedication, preparation and lots of practice..
Thing is, I have been grooming for a long time without real success with competing in Poodle class.. Untill 2 things changed.

Sharp, hard wearing , easy to use and make me into the groomer I always knew I could be. Sometimes the tools make you better, in this instance, they do.

Competing at an industry only event.

I had 2 competitions

Wire coat/terrier
With Duggee as my team mate.

Duggee is recovering from some rashes and had some scarring under his fur. Once I started grooming they became apparent. As I am fully aware, in an elite grooming comp, where the margins of first to 5th can be as little as stray hairs or brush marks.
I was told my grooming was exceptional, but the scars are not breed specific, therefore I could not be in the running.
I wish to congratulate everyone who competed, being so many in the ring is fantastic, and the standard of groom exceptional.. with the Best in group, winning Best in Show . Just Brilliant! Edwin Zhang

In all honesty, I had not been brushing Pippin as much as I should have. But he was washed and groomed twice in 4 days leading up to the comp.. the best prepared he has ever been!
Putting together my best ever groom of Pippin is literally thanks to so many people teaching me the art of grooming.
Upon finishing, my fellow competitors and I were discussing our grooms. At the time I knew it was the best I had ever done..
Little did I know how good.
1st in open Class... "oh s**t wow" happy dance
Best in group... "............. what.. me?... seriously!... "
Tears.. shock. "YOU LITTLE FU**IN RIPPER"

I have tagged a few people who I thought deserved recognition to getting me to where I am today. Groom wise. Lol
