Real life class - Dog Manners
Our weekly group class took a walk along the Maribyrnong River today and did so well.
Prams, runners, walkers, bikes, other dogs, and dealing with a bridge that you can feel moving under your paws.
What a lovely walk!

Liz was sure Rex was going to run off if given a chance at our group class.
That didn't happen, and then Rex was so fast on his recall.
Well done β

Bella, young GSD is a lovely friendly girl, but..........
She is pushy and pulley!
Today we put her on a 5 metre lead, giving her plenty of sniff space in the park and she started to learn and listen.
Christine, her mum, like me is little older and has a hard time continually dealing with her.
Today they both enjoyed their walk.
Great work β

Quickly teaching a new boundary.
Good dogs!
Dogs in a drop command, while I play ball with my dog.
Can they overcome the challenge?
Duplo is loving his new jumper and toy.
Schuyler, (Skylar)7 yr old Toy Shepherd.
She likes to bark, at the door, at visitors, at the tv, only with animals, even cartoon ones and she isn't good with young children.
Our second session so we really worked on these behaviours.
Nailed it!!
Family brought a 3 yr old to visit, π€£ and we put the tv on.
Well done everyone, great job.

Dog Manners, for a great family dog.
Challenging our dogs to drop stay.
Drop, stay challenge.
4 of these dogs started training with fear aggression issues.
Woohoo ππ
Dogs of all ages, temperaments and some that came with aggression issues in a conga line walking.

Lottie doesn't like people, certainly not coming into her home.
On our second session we are challenging her bed/place command. Ringing the doorbell, being invited in and walking through the home. Last time I entered Lottie was not this calm, growling and barking 3 weeks ago.
Training with mutual language to guide her and the family being consistent in their homework.
Well done β

Winnie, a young Lagotto,is a very anxious girl. Limited socializing, her new owners, after 3 weeks are gaining her trust.
Her first response when someone comes into the home is to growl and bark.
Today we worked on that a lot, using the bed command and mutual language to help her.
Your safe gorgeous girl and slowly we will all build your confidence.

Bailey, 4 yr old Cavoodle.
Lovely boy with no manners.
Mum didn't have many visitors as Bailey didn't allow any peace for them to socialize. As well as other inappropriate and annoying barking.
With mutual language he has learnt to listen to his mum, who is much happier.
Great job!

Wow how far they have come.
Jodye & Bobby first had a private in-home package to deal with Bobby's reactivity and Jodye's anxiety.
Then they joined our weekly group classes, improving slowly.
This week I wanted to challenge them more, Bobby is on a 5 metre lead, relaxed and calm, while I played ball with Duplo, running past them.
Well done team!!!

Mum doesn't get a lot of visitors these days, Bailey makes it hard to talk with his continued barking, jumping up & over excitement.
Manners, please Bailey!
Simba is very excitable and dad needed help in him to listen and calm down.
Well done β

Nala had her 2nd session today.
We have some great language happening, so we moved to things we know trigger her anxiety.
Men wearing black boots.
Helping her gain confidence and trust.
Good girl Nala!
