During the Summer months we remember to make sure our pets have access to water and shade but have you ever considered your pets paws? 🐾☀
Did you know that on a 25° day the asphalt can reach up to 52° and up to 65° on a 35° day? Walking on the hot concrete can cause severe burns on your dogs paws!
To make sure it is safe to walk try the 7 second test! Place the back of your hand on the concrete and if it is too hot to hold there for 7 seconds it is too hot or your dogs paws!
Try walking in the morning or evening to avoid the hottest part of the day or even choosing grassy areas over the concrete. 🌿☀🐕
