Back in, 2019, I asked Leanne to draw my boy.

Her eye for detail was something that really got me - something more so than any other artist I’d been referred.

It needed to be something special - there can only ever be 1 first love in the way of a golden….and to me, this was my Max……. The portrait had to be perfect.

A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of having a young 10yo AUTHOR, yes AUTHOR, come and visit the Elimar Babes. As he was a new face to both Monti and Daisy, Monti was a bit hesitant to let him join in the fun, but Daisy was all for it.

The following pics, which I have been granted permission to share, by Max’s mum AND Max, just represent the love he has for animals, and the trust Daisy and her dad MAX, have in him.
Dogs sense this sh!te…..they know when something is not right…..especially new mums…..

Initially Monti wasnt a fan of Max joining her and the babes, though she was still happy with Max hanging in the same room as them

A little bit about MAX:
Max was 7yo when he first published his own book - MAX’S WILD LIFE. He has already written his 2nd book, but is still saving for the illustrations.
Max is the son of a wild life carer, and all proceeds from his book sales go toward Animalia Wildlife Shelter.
Max is Autistic, has ADHD and Generalised Anxiety Disorder……and most importantly, a BLOODY BIG HEART!

The 3rd wave of the Elimar Tsunami has arrived……and it’s a doozie!

Miss Maple whelped 8 babes today in 5 hrs 💪🏽

Like her mumma Piper, it was all done with (what seemed to be) ease!

Her sisters Monti and Daisy had produced 25% 💙 and 75% 🩷.
I asked maple to flip the colours, but keep the ratio….. my special order was 25% 🩷 and 75% 💙….. and she delivered…..

2 chunky girls and 6 chunky boys

Well done Miss Maple 🍁

If I hadn’t cried enough already, this ratio is something super special……this means there is one very special little man, by the name of CRUZ who now is guaranteed boy doggo 💜💛🧡💙

Daisy has even allowed Monti to check out her babies - which is only fair because earlier today, i caught Daisy sniffing her nieces and nephews bits n butts 😆🤮

RIP my MINI DOG

To say I’m heart broken, is a lie.

How can a 9day old puppy hurt my heart so much.

I had such big dreams for you and the family you would bless.

This morning she was extra smoochy - she just followed me around and hugged me.
When I was trying to give you your morning pick up talk (see pic) she was giving me the sign that I had to make the call.

It was a sign I had to let you go…..

Leo is up there with the best dressed shop dogs in Somerville - you may have seen him in a post or 2 with Monti, the day of her X-ray.

What can I say about Mornington Veterinary Clinic other than how much I appreciate them…….and rely on them

Through the whole journey of an Elimar Golden, they are there providing the care and assistance in the most professional, knowledgeable & caring way.

They have been my GoTo team since the first time I walked through their doors.

They were the team that delivered (via c-section) Trixies final litter - which included Montana & Daisy - and they are the team I have on board for Monti & Daisy’s babes.

Thank you Adam for your kind donation, and to the “regular vets” we use - Dr Paul & Dr James - thank you for loving my goldens as if they were your own. Most importantly, thanks for allowing me to have a child by my side at most pregnancy ultra sounds, AND for allowing me to to video you guys during such appointments.
Being able to share this experience with the Elimar world, especially children - I am forever grateful.
