Just a little announcement to explain why I no longer post a farewell message when our beautiful customers pass over the rainbow bridge.

I’m never sure if a family wants a public post & I certainly don’t want to step on toes. I also don’t want to miss anyone, as this is also very hurtful when you are grieving. So for this reason, I decided quite a while ago that I would no longer post these messages on my page.

I just wanted to let you all know why, so you understand that I do care & I am always so sad when I get this news & your beloved family member did indeed mean a lot to me too.

It’s been a busy week of show grooms, getting all the dogs ready for the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria’s Champ Show tomorrow. Only 3 show grooms to go!! The new Luxe Range has created some beautiful coats ready for tomorrow’s judging.

Our newest addition to the Luxe Range; Tame The Mane Shampoo was used on most grooms & I have to say, I’m in love with this shampoo. The Coat Growth Shampoo is was also used on a few out-of-coat dogs to add volume, without the frizz that typical volumising shampoos add.

Today marks 6 years since Bark In Style opened. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know some really lovely people & dogs. I’ve watched families grow, groomed dogs for weddings, I’ve said some sad goodbye’s to some of the best dogs & welcomed new puppies. I am truly privileged to say that I have some of the best customers getting around. I honestly mean that, I hear some horror stories from other groomers & I’m so grateful to have all the normal ones 😆

A sneak peak of the first product in our new Luxe Range… Coat Growth Shampoo. This will be available to purchase in a few weeks time. Stimulates coat growth, reduces dandruff (and has shown a huge improvement in dogs with Ichthyosis!), adds volume & shine. All while leaving the coat looking fabulous & show ready!

We wanted to develop a coat growth shampoo that wouldn’t leave the coat fluffy/static or change the texture, one that you could use while prepping your dog for the show ring & that’s exactly what we did!

Aldi had the robot vaccs again on Saturday. For anyone wondering if they are any good with dogs…. These are definitely worth the $350 price point & more then capable of cleaning up after pets. You’ll still have to pull your vacc out once a week to get into the corners & other bits it misses, but I wouldn’t be without one now. My first robot vacc came from Aldi & the Ecovacs brand isn’t too shabby at this price point. You’re welcome 🙏🏻

I think maybe I should include one in my puppy packs the next time we have a litter 😆

Took the dogs to the oval this morning & our Manuka Honey Shampoo came to the rescue when Grub rolled in duck poo. Manila Honey is a natural anti-bacterial & was our go to to ensure no bacteria was left on the coat 🦆

Alison obtained her nationally recognised qualification under award winning, highly respected groomer and trainer Kylie Tatti. Kylie is a third generation dog groomer with over 29 years experience. Kylie's numerous awards include Royal Melbourne Grooming Champion (2013), Supreme Royal Grooming Champion - Australia (2014), Best in Show (Grooming Competition) Melbourne Royal (2017) just to name a few!! Along with her expert grooming knowledge, Kylie is also well renowned for teaching her gentle handling techniques.

Alison is also a registered ANKC dog breeder, under the prefix of Beaudore Golden Retrievers, & regularly attends dog shows with her much loved Golden Retrievers. Dogs are our life & we wouldn't have it any other way!!

Our modern, fully equipped grooming salon has been designed with the comfort & cleanliness of your pet in mind. Our grooming equipment is ergonomically designed to eliminate the need to manually lift your dog, which can be stressful to some pooches. Older pets will appreciate the ease of access, allowing them to step in/onto our equipment, making their grooming experience more relaxing.

We offer our clients the one-on-one attention they deserve to ensure their time at our salon is as calm and relaxing as possible. Where possible, we don't like to crate your dogs & prefer for them to be dropped off at their appointment time & we will call you 15 minutes prior to completion. We can cater for families of dogs to be groomed together by booking back-to-back appointments. Our salon is air conditioned & heated, and fitted out with comfortable beds for your dogs to relax in if you are running a little late. Your dog can even watch some tv or listen to some music while they wait.

We provide a little bit of luxury for your pampered pooches at no extra cost.

Chlorine is universally used to chemically disinfect water. Chlorine is added to the water to destroy germs, bacteria and living organisms. Your dog is also a living organism, and chlorine affects the body internally as well as externally.

Inhalation and skin absorption of chloroform and chlorine by-products are greatest in the shower & bath, where these gases are vaporised.

Our bath water is filtered with patented chlorgon and KDF technology to remove chlorine, heavy metals, dirt and odours from the tap water, which has a positive effect on skin allergies and eczema

Premium Shampoos

We stock a large range of premium salon quality shampoos to suit every coat type, including Organic, Natural, Vegan shampoos which can be of benefit to dogs with sensitive skin. If your dog does suffer from skin allergies, please discuss this with us at your appointment time so we can choose a shampoo that will best suit your pooches needs. Our natural range of shampoos include Manuka Honey & Goats Milk, Peppermint & Sage, Green Tea & Dead Sea Mud, Apple Cider Vinegar & Himilayan Salt, and Coconut Milk & Greek Yoghurt.
