Knox Vet Clinic

Knox Vet Clinic KNOX VETERINARY CLINIC commenced operations in 1982. At this time it was a one-vet operation and Knox City was nothing like it is now.
(33)

Over the years the clinic has grown considerably and now we have 4 vets and 7 nurses on staff. The Clinic sees all manner of pets mainly dogs and cats but have been known to see rabbits, guinea pigs, even some birds and rodents. All the staff at Knox Vet Clinic are dedicated animal lovers and carers. We are all pet owners ourselves and this shows through in the way we look after all our patients.

It is why our clients keep coming back to us and why we welcome new clients every week. We will always try to offer our caring pet owners a number of options when treatment is required. We are able to provide a complete service in most situations meaning diagnostics and treatment can be attained without having to go to different facilities. We have radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental with dental xray and surgery suites to cover most problems. The Clinic is open 6 days a week from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday and Public holidays. For after hours details or any further information please contact us on 9801 2055.

Have you and your fur babies met our Vet Dr Laura? ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ˜ƒโ˜˜๏ธ
Dr. Laura Daly is originally from Ireland but is very well-travelled. During her studies at Szent Istvan University in Budapest, she completed a clinical semester in Toronto and following qualification, worked in the United Kingdom at a small animal practice for four years. Laura decided to take the leap and move to Australia after holidaying here and falling in love with the lifestyle and climate. Upon completion of the national veterinary exams in Australia in 2018, Laura joined the team with her fur baby Harvey the Spaniel X Poodle. Laura loves the variety that small animal practice brings, and has a special interest in surgery. She loves working with all the different shapes and sizes of each precious pet that trots, runs, bounces, carried or dragged through the door every day!

Meet Shadow, who spent the day with us for his castration. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฆฎ๐Ÿพ He was quite scared this morning but has been so brave throughout the day. Shadow is still getting used to his new cone accessory as he patiently waits for his human to pick him up. It was crucial to have Shadow's procedure done as he had one undescended testicle remaining in his abdominal cavity known as cryptorchid. This condition poses a higher risk of cancer. Thankfully, that's no longer a concern for him. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ๐Ÿพ Fingers crossed, he makes a speedy recovery and is back to his old self soon!

Hello to all the wonderful Knox Vet Clinic pet owners. We have an update on what Dr Kent Marshall is up to since he retired earlier this year. He has volunteered with Vets Beyond Borders and will be travelling to Samoa in December to help the local communities in a veterinary role. The work is mainly consulting and surgery for the local dog and cat population at the Samoan SPCA. This trip is completely self funded and Dr Kent will be taking some much needed medical supplies with him. This is where it would be fantastic if the Knox Vet Community would assist in donating for this worthy cause. Next time you pop by the clinic please feel free (no pressure) to make a small donation so that we can purchase the supplies for Dr Kent to take with him. We will be sure to post some images of his adventures in Samoa so you can see where your donations have been put to good use. Thank you everyone. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Meet Toro the british short hair he stayed with us today for his castration.......That's the face he pulled when he found out what he had been booked in for. I don't think Toro was too impressed with use today. Regardless of his thoughts on us, we think he is handsome! ๐Ÿ˜ Hopefully, he is recovering well from his big day out and getting lots of cuddles. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿˆโ™ก

Say hi to Jake! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ•๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฉ Jake stayed with us yesterday to have his teeth cleaned. Jake is highly anxious, and although he wasn't keen to stay with us without his dad, he handled it very well. Jake was happiest when someone was by his side, I think he needed the moral support. He was having some issues at home with teeth chattering, and wasn't keen to show us in consult. However, once he was under anasthetic, it became clear what was causing his issues. He was suffering from dental disease and needed a few extractions. He is home now receiving some TLC and hopeful he has recovered well from his day out.
