Knox Vet Clinic KNOX VETERINARY CLINIC commenced operations in 1982. At this time it was a one-vet operation and Knox City was nothing like it is now.

Over the years the clinic has grown considerably and now we have 4 vets and 7 nurses on staff. The Clinic sees all manner of pets mainly dogs and cats but have been known to see rabbits, guinea pigs, even some birds and rodents. All the staff at Knox Vet Clinic are dedicated animal lovers and carers. We are all pet owners ourselves and this shows through in the way we look after all our patients.

It is why our clients keep coming back to us and why we welcome new clients every week. We will always try to offer our caring pet owners a number of options when treatment is required. We are able to provide a complete service in most situations meaning diagnostics and treatment can be attained without having to go to different facilities. We have radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental with dental xray and surgery suites to cover most problems. The Clinic is open 6 days a week from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm on Saturday. Meet our adorable tiny guests! Today, we had Circle the Toy Poodle and Mochi the Pomeranian visiting us, both vying for the title of our tiniest pet of the day. Circle weighs in at 2.8kg, while Mochi is just a bit heavier at 2.82kg—so Circle takes the crown! Circle came in for a dental procedure, needing a few problematic teeth removed, while Mochi was here for her desexing.

Happy New Year from Bella! Bella stayed with us for the day to have a cystotomy procedure performed as we needed to remove several stones that had formed in her bladder. These stones were causing her to have recurrent urinary tract infections and were causing trauma to her bladder wall. Bella was frequently trying to urinate and was often passing fresh red blood. Bella's stones will be sent off for a**lysis, and she will be started on a new diet to prevent stone formation. She will also need ongoing monitoring.

Bella is truly lucky to have such dedicated owners to look after her! 🐕🐶🐾🐩

The countdown to Dr Kent’s volunteering trip to Samoa Animal Protection Society is rapidly approaching with him leaving next week. He has been in contact with the vet coordinator that is over there and has a wish list of items to help the dog and cat population of Samoa. With the kind donations already received we have been able to supply some much needed medications for him to take with him. There is a few key items that would really be well received such as pain relief and anaesthetic drugs so if anyone has been thinking of making a kind gesture then now is the last chance so that we can order them in! As promised we will post pictures of Dr Kent’s experiences upon return. Stay tuned!

Meet Bambi the Pug! 👋 Today, she came in for surgery to treat her BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome). She handled everything like a champ and is pictured here, patiently waiting for her mom to pick her up. What a brave girl! 😍🐕🐶

Next up is Coco, looking adorable in her e-collar! Last week, Coco came in with a sore bum after one of her a**l glands became infected. Thankfully, her mom was quick to get her the care she needed, and we're hopeful she's feeling much better now!

Check out Lucky!!! He is as snug as a bug in a rug!!! And so smiley!!! 😃 Lucky spent the day with us today to have a Dental and an Ultrasound and he was such a lovely boy. Have you and your fur babies met our Vet Dr Laura? 🩺🐶🐱😃☘️
Dr. Laura Daly is originally from Ireland but is very well-travelled. During her studies at Szent Istvan University in Budapest, she completed a clinical semester in Toronto and following qualification, worked in the United Kingdom at a small animal practice for four years. Laura decided to take the leap and move to Australia after holidaying here and falling in love with the lifestyle and climate. Upon completion of the national veterinary exams in Australia in 2018, Laura joined the team with her fur baby Harvey the Spaniel X Poodle. Laura loves the variety that small animal practice brings, and has a special interest in surgery. She loves working with all the different shapes and sizes of each precious pet that trots, runs, bounces, carried or dragged through the door every day!

Meet Shadow, who spent the day with us for his castration. 🐕🦮🐾 He was quite scared this morning but has been so brave throughout the day. Shadow is still getting used to his new cone accessory as he patiently waits for his human to pick him up. It was crucial to have Shadow's procedure done as he had one undescended testicle remaining in his abdominal cavity known as cryptorchid. This condition poses a higher risk of cancer. Thankfully, that's no longer a concern for him. 💕🤞🐕‍🦺🐾 Fingers crossed, he makes a speedy recovery and is back to his old self soon!
