Labradors are a popular family pet & that leads to unscrupulous breeding as detailed in this article. So what's being done to stop it? Not much by the sound of things. Read the post thoroughly!

This is happening around the country and legislation needs urgent change to stop it. Clearly the state governing dog bodies and RSPCA are not effective in ending the suffering for these dogs & the families that buy one as a pet. They are not bred to be family pets. They are nothing more than livestock for profit. It's truly appalling. Thanks Labrador Rescue for sharing this information & asking for support. I hope something is done! 😢

Christmas pups will need training! I will be providing education sessions in January, however opportunities to join a class have been downsized since Kingston Council ended our hall hire in Carrum at the Community Hall - a venue we had used for 25 years to support local pet owners seeking a professional service.

Here is an update & link to the Petition which has over 3,000 supporters. My sincere thanks to all of you for your ongoing support. Each day I receive calls asking if classes are running again & people desperate for help.

There is a demand for professionally delivered training, particularly for those keen to raise a therapy, support or service dog & for clients experiencing difficulties. I'd love to be able to help you all, but until councils allow professional trainers to access community space, we are limited in what we can provide.
