I wish I could show you the true shade of this pink.. it is a soft peony , very pretty and not at all like the " soggy washing on the line " shade that's coming up . ( My Melbourne clothes line is dripping in it ) The label is L'Aiglion, the fabric a fine cotton voile with white ( not grey, white) lace braid with tiny baubles Pearl buttons to the waist, a belt you can pull tight to show off that lovely full circle skirt Size 28/30 inch waist, unworn and just gorgeaus,, the stuff summer dreams are made of! Original 1950 's fancy skirt in black silky taffeta with velvet floral heads . In the centre of each velvet flower is a brilliant diamentie that glitters like a shooting star in the dark By label Sportaville of London , in size to 14 . Above this beauty , the pin up bra top is also an original 50's . In black satin with boning , she also has suspenders ,which I have tucked into the half slip . She is a modest favourite , humble , but a perfect partner with all things from denim shorts to formal skirt Adaptable in back size , thanks to Four vertical lines of hook and eyes at the back. Although the original cup size is a B , inserts from Spotlight always deliver a perfect fit. And as for the belt.. a bright young model from the 80s in a rose red leather , proof that opposites work well together and certainly attract!

Original 1950's cotton housecoat of tumbling roses Ok... so it's not warm and fuzzy , but why would you want a sloppy old poly when you could rule the roost dressed like a Dior? Three quarter sleeves, fully lined, ten pearl buttons , inner pocket on each side , beautiful rounded collar and the fall of a 50's swing coat! Just slip off the tie and let her loose, undoing all but the top two buttons and glide, , roses floating aside and behind you. Made for an entrance, why would you be locked outside in anything else?

KERRYBROOKE swimsuit, 1940sUNWORN!! So many features such as the wide straps, hook n eye back under six inch metal zip fastener, ventilated " new post war style bra insert" so soft and comfort you can wear it all day and never go near the water, 36 inch but can be adjusted for most ! And just look at the design of fabric.. deep mauves, purples, burgundy's..

Perhaps I swam in these, but I believe it was more of a paddle When my daughter inherited them, it was a completely different story Whilst I was too scared to move in case they followed suit, she glided across the shoreline, a distant splash of blue, shoulders heaving , torso glistening... she made butterfly look so easy whilst those pieces stayed intact ! They're back with me now, waiting for whoever's next Tiny triangles of cotton, held together by strands of daisies , snd after decades of river, salt and chlorine, today I searched for the label ... And what do you know! ( I certainly should have!!) They're a TULLO !! An Australian designer so loved and adored, but who could afford? A reputation for beautiful styling , Norma Tullo won our 1960s hearts through beautiful styling To this we can now add resilience , inspiration and the vintage award for courage ...,what a shame she was never given the opportunity to design the Australian Olympic uniform! What an impact our swimmers would have on the starting blocks!

Original silk Hawaiian, early 1960s with movie star measurements of the day 36-26-36 This was in Diamond Dog’s window in early days and was sold to a lucky buyer …. But beautiful vintage is like a homing pigeon and often makes its way back It didn’t fit me then, and certainly won’t fit me now, but I’m loving having her around.

1930’s silk nightie , cut on the cross, in larger size ( bust 42 inch plus) The most beautiful item you will ever wear for it is unworn and so soft snd lovely on Such pieces are very scarce snd are a great investment to be handed down Why, this superb piece costs less than David Jones label .., to precious to be stored away,, hang it on your bedroom wall , get married in it or be a bridesmaid!

Introducing a 1950s cotton day Gown abundant with roses, pinks and reds It was popular in the 50’s to come home from work , or wherever , hang up your clothes and slip into something comfy and , by the looks of it,quite glamorous Fully lined, with deep side pockets, I applaud the sizing for this beauty will fit all sizing right up to an 18 The tie at the waist can be pulled tight if a waist is what you are after whilst larger sizes will leave the tie on the hanger and glide around blissfully looking quite delectable . Let’s be honest.. the prettier fabric is too often reserved for small sizing . As well as fancy fabric silky lining and side pockets, the large pearly buttons complete what must surely be a perfect Christmas gift

Original Hawaiian skirt from late 1950s/early 60s .The waist band has a button and a zip , the waist measuring 29 inch . There is a deep inner pleat at the front . The fabric is a heavy cotton ( or a light barkcloth) , the colours bold and bright.., never has a hibiscus looked so enticing ! This skirt has been partnered with a bikini top , but I wouldn’t be wearing her down the beach , She’s more of a night time girl or an “ out for lunch” with slides and Midrift top

After popular demand, alittle more on the original Hawaiian shirt … the brand is Royal Hawaiian and my guess it’s 1960s… but it maybe earlier The graphics are wonderful.. here’s a glimpse but in hand you can see it’s like a Hawaiian travel brochure with all the tourist attractions shown in a way that’s so colourful and real. Hawaiian shirts around town are for fancy dress parties compared to this ..and I bet They don’t have holes like this one either!!!Yes, there are a couple@of holes but like the shirt, they are real and add to its magic . …the buttons are wooden , the size I would put as large . Looks perfect over jeans or bathers coming to or fro the beach An enviable wear at a cocktail party ! Tie the front and wear over shorts There is so much to look at? Perfect gift for one who appreciates the real thing! Hawaiian
