Exhibitor and Breeder of black/blue/white/cream standard poodles in conformation and obedience. Melbourne, Australia.

I have owned Standard poodles since 2000 and participated in my first confomation show in 2002. In that time, I have handled 8 Standards and 1 Miniature to their Champion titles. Of these, three were my own prefix, one going on to his Grand Champion title. Capanash poodles also compete successfully in obedience (mostly with Marlene handling).I have been involved with Poodle Club Of Victoria commit

tee (Vice president, committee, puppy officer, webmaster, point score secretary). During the week, I am a secondary Science/Maths teacher. Having a Bachelor of Science degree has re-enforced the need for health testing when breeding, with health and good temperament being of the utmost importance.We believe in letting poodles be dogs so none of ours are kenneled and all sleep in the house. They are also allowed to run and play together (yes even the show dogs!). We have an 85 acre property that the poodles have a great time exploring.

Aka Supreme Champion Poodelle The Boy From Oz RN
He had a 7:15pm dinner reservation for a special birthday meal of meat cake with cheese mash potato.

Always nice to see a title officially recognised. This arrived in the post today, thanks to Dogs Victoria's efficient processing, dropped off paperwork last Tuesday, up on ANKC database Friday. Vera is the 3rd generation with a Rally title.

Last Rally trial for the year with Vera and in cold, windy conditions she gained her final Advanced pass to qualify for her RA title, 94pts and 2nd place in the ring. Grand Ch. Capanash Mistress of the Dark RA (DV pending). Getting her to this level has been a trial, think she has a bit of Grandma Luna's rebellious streak.

No shows for us this weekend, time for some sporting activity. Marlene & Elvera ventured off to Knox Obedience Club's Rally trial and came home with a qualifying score of 86pts. One more pass needed for her RA title.

A very busy weekend of shows in Melbourne. Over three shows we had: 31 degree heat, strong winds, rain and flooded ground and finally hail! Not the best poodle showing weather.
Stella was the star winning Bitch Challenge out our specialty under Mr Mikael Nilson (Sweden- Kudos poodles).
Hugh also had a spin around the ring and won Veteran of breed.

An important thing to me is promoting our versatile breed to people. Last weekend we volunteered to be part of the Poodle Club of Victoria’s breed stand at the Dog Lovers Festival in Melbourne. Hugh and Jarvis were perfect breed ambassadors. Jarvis’ highlight was his new squid toy :)

We have almost recovered from a busy poodley weekend. No super exciting results for Jarvis this year but he absolutely loves Royal shows- the noise, dogs and most of all, the people and pats!
At the PCOV Specialty Jarvis won Intermediate of breed out of 2.
The Royal he was the only one in his class.
At the Royal specialty he was intermediate of breed out of 3.
One day he might be a calm showdog- but definitely not yet!

Capanash poodles also compete successfully in obedience (mostly with Marlene handling). Capanash Poodles are very proud of Dual Ch(T) Capanash Dark Dawn Arising (Wynton) co-owned and handled by Denis Cody.
