Happy New Year to our clients and patients. We wish you all the best for 2025, and we hope 2025 brings you joy, peace and happiness. The clinic returns to normal hours on Monday January 6th, when we welcome Dr Jim back from annual leave. We’d like to thank our wonderful vets, Dr Colin and Dr Bec for working those extra hours over the Xmas Period.

Unfortunately we need to share the link and information below. We have been on the receiving end of unacceptable behaviour quite a fair bit of late, and we are done!!! We try our very best to help everyone, but we are only humans. If we are fully booked and unable to get you in, it’s not acceptable to then accuse us of not caring and allowing your animal to suffer. We are on reduced hours as we only have one vet currently at the practice until the New Year. Vets/Vet nurses are entitled to annual leave, they have families and other responsibilities just like you. We will be taking you off our customer list and you will be asked to leave the clinic, no excuse for abusive behaviour. We understand you may be stressed, worried about your animal, we have animals too. But please treat our staff with respect and kindness just like we do you.

With the extreme heat tomorrow, please ensure your pets have extra water, add water to their wet food. Also make sure they have somewhere to escape the heat. Never walk your dogs in the hottest part of the day, remember pavements and roads get extremely hot and can burn their pads. Leaving a bowl or two of water out for wildlife is also much appreciated by them.

😻😻😻Urgently Needs A Home😻😻😻
He Is Super Affectionate
❤️❤️❤️❤️ Mr Pickles❤️❤️❤️❤️

Through no fault of his own this sweet boy is in need of a forever home. All his vet work is done and he is approximately 11 months old. He is super super affectionate and his ideal home would include a fur brother or sister, older children and some humans to give him the love and attention he deserves. He is playful like a kitten and is an attention seeker. Is fine with a placid dog. A hectic home would not suit him, he has had a couple of UTI’s when stressed. So a urinary friendly diet is best suited also. Please call the clinic to speak to either Chantelle or Michelle to enquire about this beautiful boy.

Needing A Special Person to take on this sweet boy. Videos in comments..

Morgan Walker the most sweetest boy it was originally thought he was a young mum cat!

Dumped at 4am on the 17th of September in a play pen with 4 younger siblings which he took care of, left open to predators in almost freezing temperatures and in an unfamiliar place until vet staff arrived to open the clinic in Bentleigh East.

His super friendly, sweet but cheeky personality was evident from the start despite what he had been through he was still purring his little heart out and loved all the attention.

He was desexed and thought to have had CBH as he had a wobble, taken into foster care but he was also incontinent with some slight hind limb paralysis. This was a bit out of the carers depth so he was brought into CatLovers to be investigated into further. Upon examination and xrays it was found he was born with an extra back vertebrae plus an older disc injury. With treatment to reduce inflammation on his nerves plus daily physio he has improved so much now being able to use both his back legs, his incontinence has reduced and he has even started to run and jump when playing (:

This will most likely be an ongoing condition that will need close management, possibly an injection every few months and you would need to know how to feel if his bladder is full and help him toilet sometimes, he love's to use his litter tray but sometimes cannot hold his bladder and get to his tray in time.

While we love having his company at the clinic he would prefer to be in a comfortable house with someone to give him all the attention and time he needs to continue to improve and help him live his best life ! If you think you can manage his special needs, have the time, space, and love to give to Morgan please message us (:

He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and is also friendly with other animals !
