MISSY is spending the day at with Dr Chanel to try to work out why she has neuropathy in her back legs. Last night it progressed further and we don’t want her to be in any pain.

Very happy to be staying with MISSY again. Her diabetes treatment is going well but her new mum and I have noticed neuropathy in her back legs which makes them collapse. Apparently this is a common complication with diabetes and we are actively adjusting things for her such as accepting her need to eat lying down, and will see what her vet can do to treat it. She is the dearest little Queen and stretches out a paw when she wants me to scratch or brush her, sometimes accompanied by a gentle ‘mew’.

OBI was so exhausted from socializing with APRIL, BEBE, PRETZEL & his mum Suzanne that he didn’t even have energy to climb onto his seat for the drive home. He was able to stretch his head up for scratches though

LEO enjoyed a longer walk this morning, his rehab is going very well. But he still looks miserable when I say goodbye to guilt me. TIGER has the ‘I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed’ expression down pat.

Yesterday BEBE got to have two playdates. All morning with TOBY and then a walk with ALBIE. The photos of him and Toby sleeping were pretty much the only time they stopped.

COOPER thinks I’d gone soft on him today and decided he didn’t need to exercise when in fact it was the cold wind and rain that made the decision for us. So we chatted and had some good scratches instead.

MISSY update - Today she completed her third day of insulin injections. She is an absolute angel. She likes her new diabetic food and has been snuggled up to me any chance she gets. I’m so proud of how well she is adjusting to her new home and health challenges
